PvP Balance Patch Incoming?

As some already know, Ele and Enh Shamans got their instant healing stealth nerfed into the ground yesterday.

We now know this was intended based on tweets from the Classic Developer Aidan ‘Zirene’ Moon.

It was stealth nerfed because no one posted notes on it.

This change has been slated even before I went on vacation.

The reason it isn’t on burn is that it would require text changes.
We can’t do text changes mid patch without a lot more procedure slowing it down.
It is this particular change because it’s a 0 text change.

The better change is to cut ES and Riptide in half, and then make purification increase the healing of them by 20/40/60/80/100%. To reduce self-healing of Elemental and Enhancement.
These runes are supposed to be bad for Elemental and Enhancement.

Ret is probably in danger too now lol, but I’m not sure how they’ll thread the needle between nerfing us in PvP and not nerfing us in PvE, where we’re still garbage tier. Perhaps they’ll tack on a 50% dmg reduction while in bubble like people have been asking for.

Jokes on you, hunters are used to getting their cheeks spread by the nerf bat by now. They were trucking us pretty hard for the first three phases, its why so many hunter buddies I know just tossed them on the bench. They just don’t know how to balance classes properly so they just slam nerf things to the ground then figure it out later lol I’d be perfectly fine with them reducing hunters damage in PvP, but in return they need to reduce/remove the deadzone.

Boomy is actually really bad pvp in open world and outside of bgs.

No frenzy regen up = you’re dead
Rogue = you’re dead
Ret = you’re dead
Hunter = you’re dead

Boomy actually needs buffs I feel bad for them. Ret pala is out damaging Frenzy regend RIGHT now lol… These devs need to be moved on down to a diff platform like a tetris phone game or something

Kind of strange that you don’t mention the most broken class of all: pallies. When are they going to add a counter for bubble? Can’t run away, can’t dispell it, can’t do anything…its like just being forced to take your hands off your keyboard for 10 seconds while in the middle of fighting a class that can global you in an instant.

Yeah dude. When hunters were 1v2ing players in pvp with their pets alone and there weren’t any balance changes to pet damage and health scaling they were really trucking you.

I got crit today with seal of martyrdom for around 1300 as well. multiply that by a factor of 1.4. Boomies are in a similar spot with star whatever.

It’s the whirlwind that’s doing a lot of unhealable damage.

And players taking talent choices which inexorably solidify their inability to be ‘hybrid specs’ who then complain that other people sacrificed access to those in order to be more versatile.

It IS strange that Zirene hasn’t mentioned Paladins at all yet, but I’m not Zirene.

All I want to see is that the 30% and 40% mitigation factors are implemented across the board unilaterally; because if any issue persists beyond that point, there’s probably a problem with a spell coefficient somewhere.

Amazing how you consistently have the worst takes imaginable.

Even if they did this; pala is still insanely powerful. IMO should just nerf CS into the dirt, as well as all the other rune abilities in game both for PVE and PVP; that would make SoD less garbage almost instantly.

I’m surprised mages didn’t get spellsteal.

Mages not getting spell steal is crazy.

Like priests not getting mass dispel.

Because there is nothing to spellsteal when Shamans are auto purging. lol

Enc healing was nerfed along time ago. MD lost healing power, Malstrom lost healing wave. Over all they was like little paper weights, wolves with es and riptide would keep them up for a few sec but now not even that is enough.
