PvP at lower levels

So my question is very straight forward. Every time I que for a bg at my level as I am 38 it always says “unavailable”. Do I need to turn off my experience to get into a bg? And are battlegrounds only server? Its confusing because I’ve done AV on one other character, so I don’t think its limited to server.

I could be wrong but it usually means that the number of people in the bg que is so low, it can’t calculate your next game based on lack of participation. I’d leave your experience on since that won’t help any.

frustrating sounds like I either need to move servers or wait for peaks hours { whatever the hell this means } or just further grind to level 58 to get into AV’s

Moving servers probably won’t helped much, unless you ate tanking about moving to NA servers.

Most people aren’t queuing to PvP. They’re queueing to AFK for free gear. They do thos at 70.

The overall population is too low to support low level bgs. People mostly stopped playing them, aside from the 19s bracket that may still coordinate queues at a certain time on a certain day.

I remember 69 bracket was very active when I leveled through back in November, but nowadays can’t get that to pop either. There used to be a lot of twinks. It was fun to stop and play really competitive games for marks, better than 70 matches.

The only bg you can guarantee getting into before 70 now is AV, once you are high enough to queue into 70s, at 61?

But hopefully wrath changes all this and revives bgs, they are supposed to give experience then. Currently I would blame the dungeon boosting meta, everyone is just trying to skip the leveling process and everything you could do along the way.

I think I leveled primarily through running dungeons in the early xpac because there were a lot of people running them legitimately. After the vast majority of the playerbase moved on that method was predominantly lost.

Most of the reason why that method made the most sense was because questing at 70 was lucrative, and mounts are expensive. It felt good to spend time doing the quests for real on my alt. The cost of epic flight more or less mandated player agency in that regard imo.

Still… Exploring the rich environments is – at least to a lesser extent – reward all it’s own. TBC zones, especially Zangarmarsh, demonstrated just how far the development team had come since creating zones like the Barrens.

That said, I remember making pitstops at the WSG instance front as we were approaching bracket caps the first time we all leveled, and that was an experience worth having.

The inevitable problem is that Trans-Blizzard will likely retain the split in BG queues between XPon and XPoff. There’s just not enough players (in any bracket) to support a consistent BG system pre-Level 80.

BG queues should not be split between XPon and XPoff – because nobody benefits due to the reduced playerbase – but the usual ‘HUR DUR TWINKS R THE SUXXX LOL U LOSE TWINKS HUR HUR HUR PLAY THE GAME MY WAY’ brain-trusts will be crowing about zero BGs queues pre-80, even to the detriment of all the Level X4 players who want to level up from BG experience in whatever bracket they’re currently in.

I mean, from a cosmetic perspective? Sure? but lets face it man… There probably should’ve been level restrictions on enchants from the get-go. Like as much fun as twinking is, the vast disparity in power between twinked and non-twinked characters is simply too vast to be bridged.

No amount of skill is going to help the non-twink in most cases because of the way stats scale.
