It just makes me sad man.
I mean,
Turbo is really strong right now.
But it’s pretty much the only viable comp shamans have atm, and you can get out mongo’d by DH comps.
MM Hunter has it rough too.
It’s all of the friggin cast times. I’ve noticed that on classes that have more instant casts, pvp is MUCH easier. With shaman I’m relying on RNG to proc instant lava bursts for any kind of damage, and spending the rest of my time trying not to die. Not having any instant heals makes things worse.
Also, for all of this mail armor and my shield, I still take ridiculous damage compared to some classes in flimsier stuff… Might as well be a cloth wearing caster at this point.
I was thinking of making a theory crafting post on something you brought up. Cast times seem very 1990s and 2000s. With how quick play is now and damage being dealt, why do some classes, mainly ele, have to stand still to cast? Absolutely feels like a dated mechanic
I also felt that shamy was very squishy for being a mail wearer. It feels my lock is more tougher then shamy
Resto shaman is decent, pvp doesn’t really let you play all specs equally.
It’s because they are, Lock are designed to be the tankiest dps in BFA, armor had nothing to do with it.
Mail turns into paper when we put it on.
my friend plays ele and resto in 3’s for rating i think he usually gets glad or whatever 2400 is.
he can carry me in 2’s fine. not saying it is easy I’m bad at PVP and I respect his skill but it used to be a lot worse at BFA launch for shaman at least.
I feel like that’s an outlier more than anything
I never enjoyed shaman in pvp. Ghost wolf and the knockback were the only perks for me
