If you haven’t pvped much or been 2200+ it is likely why you cannot relate. Once you start getting higher just see the comp variations. Shoot! Just watch a streamer like Snutz or Avizura and see the comps they face and how many variations they queue in to. It is an absolute joke. You can go on to Avizuras ending stream outro where he shows his game logs for the day. It is usually Paladin X that he fought against. He is a top tier player that plays DPR at the highest level.
That’s right about where I got to last season, and hope to get a bit higher this season.
Kind of looking forward to queuing into 70%+ preg/x teams, since we have a very high win rate against them! (So far)
I love cata pvp. I like the way it feels/flows way more than wotlk. Played 4.3.4 pservers for many years, i just love it. Arena, BGs, RBGs, Tol Borad… i just love it all in cata. I think wotlk pvp is fun too, its just not for everyone.
Question for those of you who have been playing arenas here on wotlkc since launch: Are Preg Paladins common in 3v3 or is that more of a 2v2 thing?
More of a 2’s thing. They are definitely in 3’s but nowhere near as common as they are in 2’s. Casters are more prevalent in 3v3 and they counter Preg so you won’t see a whole lot in that bracket. Most of the time if you do it’s them playing Cupid or some type of triple dps zug team

Playing SP/Rogue here, low rated. We havent had issues with Pal/War at these ratings. But Disc/Feral… you mind sharing some tips on how they are beating you or what we should be doing?
We find that CCing the druid and killing the Disc doesnt work - the feral trinkets Blind and Berserks Fear and destroys me in seconds, before the Disc is dead. If we focus the Druid, he sits in Bear form and are unable to kill him before CC on the Disc runs out. I take it we’re doing something wrong.
You should go Feral. Keep him cleaned so he can’t keep Cleanse Poison on himself to remove the 50% MS. With your dots up, constant dispels, and rogue damage the priest will eventually fall behind and not be able to do anything.
Your dispels also remove Predatory Swiftness which gives him an instant heal or what they mostly use it for, instant Clones.
Your rogue should also be pooling energy for goes so that way you don’t stun the feral and he is stuck at 10 energy for 50 years doing nothing.
Edit: What you can also do and this is more of a gear thing which idk what your gear is like but you can go priest super hard in the opener and silence over Kidney so he can’t PS himself and if you have enough gear you just kill him through everything.

Edit: The Silence during Kidney idea is pretty smart, we can certainly try that! My rogue partner has great gear, but i hit 80 2 weeks ago so im not that geared yet (4600 gs, 15% haste, 9% crit, 1000 resil).
I’d definitely give it a shot and see how it feels. I didn’t read Snipy’s reply’s but your opener if you want to try that or opener in general is usually sap priest, clean him completely or to the best of your ability. You’ll get dots up before sap ends and your rogue will open with Cheap Shot.
You could Silence here but it’s way better to do it on Kidney when your rogue actually dances bc a lot of players will trinket or PS the kidney if they see dance committed. The silence can’t be trinketed so you just cover the trinket so they can’t use anything for the 3-4 seconds. Your rogue can garrote off your silence DR if you guys are super close to killing.

Listen man as a Priest/Feral enjoyer there’s a ritual where we take the Hpal/DK or Hpal/Warrs points just to donate them to SpR players.

You people do it to yourselves spamming 2’s. They removed titles for a reason 16 years ago. Everyone knew it was garbage then, and it’s still, if not more garbage now. You had a chance to enjoy some 3’s, but soon that will become unplayable too when 284 arrives in full.
