Currently ranks are locked, allowing us to progress through small increments as the phases release. That’s fine. No worries there.
My issue with the current system is the lack of time-sink. Rank 3 can be obtained with less than a week PvP time in a near 2 month+ phase.
Are there any plans to add something additional to the PvP system beyond the ranks? Something to justify spending time on for some form of progression?
Would have loved to see Rank 14 for each phase that resets as the next phase releases but that’s not something that could ever happen now.
Any ideas? What would you guys do to add a solid form of progression that justifies spending a fair amount of time in?

It’s called playing Alts. How many Alts do you have right now BiS geared and Sergeant rank? This phase is perfect to allow you to get several toons geared and ready for next phase.
I have 7 25’s with an 8th on the way.
I am focusing more on 1 character in this conversation. Rank 14 used to be a time sink at the very least but now…it seems like you PvP for a couple of days a phase. I guess I just wish there was something bigger to strive for in terms of PvP progression.

WSG Exalted, and then next phase if it is capped at R5, AB exalted (and probably AB again in P3, and even P4, because it is going to take forever unless the world pvp event gives us revered like wsg did).
I mean, basically probably something like PVP sets. Nothing too crazy… but inline roughly with BFD gear, but maybe different itemization that might be good for PvP or PVE.
The helms that only work in WSG are OK, I guess, but I don’t like that they have such restricted use, personally.
It would be cool, the whole rank wipe after every phase.
But since the phases are so short im not sure if their team of 8-10 people will be able to pull it off and fine tune the items for each class/spec properly.
It’s literally like 3-4 months in between phases.
By the time they find a sweet spot half the phase is over and they need to start working on the next one lol

Maybe if you used your brain you could come to the conclusion that the rate would be increased well above the standard ranking system.

Exalted with WSG will have benefits all the way to the 60 patch if they keep tuning the pvp items like they have been.

I would personally like to see a small amount of money for mark turn ins.
That way we aren’t just spamming wsg for rep alone.
It doesn’t even have to be a lot. 5 silver adds up
