So most things: Paladins, rogues, hunters, can kick my buttocks.
I admit that I’m not great at the class.
Any advice for being able to deal with being slowed?
Demon hunter isnt really a great 1v1 spec, things just take time to get better, understanding the cooldowns that other classes have, pressing your buttons correctly without wasting them etc .
Learn how to trade CDs and your life rate will go up ALOT. If you see a big CD like Shadow Blades, Trueshot, Icy Veins, Pillar of Frost etc, use one of your defensive CDs to counter it, like Blur for example. If you’re not being attacked then look at your CC options: Sigil of Misery, Imprison, Stun etc. If it’s getting VERY hairy then remember your team mates also benefit from Darkness.
It’s always hard to tell people how to do something better when you can’t see what they are doing. Same for yourself. Look at recording your games/rounds/duals etc, then watch them back at a slower speed so you can see what’s happening and when faced with that situation again, you can react to it better.
Outside of that… Practice. Do PvE to get your damage in the muscle memory so you can just focus on other things like CC etc.
Havoc in pvp is not a 1v1. You have some of the worst defensives in the game and are weak to every CC. Your best bet is to ambush someone and hope they have already spent their CDs
