Correct me if I’m wrong, but this is currently possible on classic (vanilla) era. Will this type of xfer be allowed for SOD era to allow the population to shift/pool on certain realms?
No paid transfers in sod. They never added them despite hundreds of people willing to give them money to move their characters off dead servers.
The free transfers do not let you transfer from Wild growth to Crusader strike. WG horde on NA has been a ghost town for months. CS has had 1/10th the pug groups and LFG channel activity since the dev post that sod isn’t getting any further development.
Sod is dead. Had a lot of fun while it lasted.
I’m talking about SOD era, so SOD going forward. The transfer option I mentioned only appeared after classic 2019 transitioned to an era realm (dead in your words). Given they’ve stated development will “be slowing down”, for SOD I think this isn’t an unwieldy thing to ask.
I’ll break down this for you. They aren’t slowing down development on sod, despite what their post said. They have stopped working on sod, they are leaving it as is, and no more hot fixes, balances, or new content is happening.
No it’s not. Was possible before, but now paid transfers are completely disabled for any version on classic client (including era), and free transfers are available only to more populated claster of the same server type.
Okay this is interesting then, so you’re saying the free transfers currently do not allow Mankirk → whitemane Xfers?
When I’m next on I will confirm this myself, as I now have heard different things from different sources.
Edit: just had a look, it does look like you can’t. However, if you could at one point in the past I still think it’s probably worth doing for SOD era. But there’s less precedent that I initially thought, whoops.
