how can people be this dumb. this isnt resilience era anymore. /stillranting

Did they tell you that’s why they removed you, or did one of their friends log on and they didn’t have the decency to tell you before they booted you?

They just removed me after like 30 seconds and that’s my only assumption. Why wouldn’t you want a DPS warr with a 734 io and just recently 2 keyed a PF 12? I always tell every party leader that I can guarantee big dam.

Like here’s what people don’t understand. I do have PVE gear, but why would I use it if my pvp gear is much better? End of run rewards are irrelevant for me now. I just run keys for my vault.

So you don’t actually know why they removed you. Did you not think to ask?

I just whispered the leader and told them basically what I’ve said on this thread then I /ignore them. It was disgusting and insulting.

There are a lot of good people in my guild, but a few of those people will kick a stranger from a group in a heartbeat just to bring in a friend.

In their mind I’m sure they’re convinced that bringing in a friend is a considerate thing to do. But life isn’t a zero sum system. Putting a point into the positive score column doesn’t counteract the negative experience of the player that was kicked.

On a number of occasions I’ve explicitly rejected a suggestion to remove a pug in favor of a friend or guildy, precisely because I don’t think it’s cool to treat anyone poorly, regardless of how well you know them.

That’s to say, I’m sorry you experienced this. It’s possible it wasn’t personal, just a negligent act.

My advice for the future is to inquire respectfully as to why they removed you. Maybe they accidentally kicked you and don’t know how to reinvite, or some other unlikely situation. Either way, I think if you could express yourself to them without whining, they might recognize their actions. If you send them a snotty whisper they’re gonna think they dodged a bullet and it will reinforce, in their minds, their crappy behavior.

Hopefully something as simple as “Bro, it really sucks to get kicked from a group without warning or explanation. I’ve been in queue for ages and accepting your invite took me out of other group queues and wasted a bunch of my time. Please be more considerate in the future.”

It sucks that you have to correct people, but if you haven’t realized already, people can really suck sometimes.

Probably removed you for 1 or 2 simple reasons.

  1. Warrior isn’t the “meta” right now and a more appealing DPS queued like a MM hunter or something.

  2. A group signed up that had desirable classes and/or roles like Tank/Heals.

Doubtful it was PvP gear.

My theory is that they were jealous of your scintillating personality and grand charisma.

And you saw nothing wrong with coming to the forums to say you were removed because of PvP gear when you had absolutely no clue why they removed you? I think it’s crazy that this is the train of thought someone has after knowing nothing. How do you draw a conclusion based off of an assumption with no indication of that assumption being remotely correct? Crazy.

PvP gear is better than most PvE gear for a lot of classes… I’d guess they removed you because you’re a warrior before they removed you for PvP gear.

Can you even inspect someone’s gear immediately after inviting? I usually can’t see new peoples’ gear until they are close to me in the game.

Seems much more likely that they just didn’t want a DPS warrior, why would they invite a melee dps who isn’t rogue/WW/unholy other than a misclick?

How couldn’t they have seen what a ray of sunshine you truly are

You lost 30 seconds of time, so what? Apply to another group which takes less time than making up a fake reason why someone removed you, it’s not like it was in the middle of a key either.

The most likely story is they had a friend or guildie log on.

Ok, a couple questions first. How much time was it between the Plaguefall 12 and this key today?
Hate to say it, but a 12 last week is a joke compared to 12s during Tyrannical. Now if the 12 Plaguefall was today, your IO may not of even updated for the addons to see. Usually takes a day for the addons to update. Just the way it is.

As for friends, guildies, etc. that happens, that’s not just you. Some people will tell you why, some won’t. There really is no point in throwing a tantrum. If you messaged them with the attitude I’m picking up here, that is not helpful either. Best advice, take a deep breath, don’t take it personal and keep battling up the IO ladder.
Good luck, and if you’re looking for Warrior info I can offer some assistance or direct you to Skyhold Discord.

Literally same day, only a couple of hours apart. I did this PF 12 on Thursday, I forget what the group was for that booted me. Idk i just felt salty cause for some reason I believe there are still people out there that still think that PVP gear is not viable in PVE. Blame it on blizz for nerfing the end-of-run rewards. 95% of my PVE gear is just sitting in my bags or bank as a spare.

Looks like booting you paid off.

For some classes, PVE gear is almost BIS all around. Other classes it’s pretty sad. For us as warriors, we’re in a good spot where all stats are good.
I will admit though, only have 2 12s done, and not much else above a 10 could send people various messages. Just saying.

Hell, would you want to be in such a group. I would consider it a blessing.
