I am thinking of cancelling my herbalism and skinning because they are so over played on my server that the mats are selling for vendor
Now i know that engineering is great for pvp, but what about pve. Is it worth dropping my professions and starting over? As a rogue this is iffy because herbalism is used to fadeleaf and swiftthistle and the swift thistle sells for a pretty good amount. not sure about fadeleaf because im not high enough level.
Is there enough gizmos and/or gadgets to be useful in pve.
I also dont raid, but i will dungeon and quest
I have an alt that does alchemy so i dont need that
No gathering profession will make money until you max it except for very specific herbs that are used by max level players.
Engineering is the BIS profession for PVE and nearly mandatory if you want to be competitive in PVP but its a money sync. You will make very little if any money from it.
Most rotations, especially for rogues, work in Thorium Grenades on cooldown and most hardcore/speed run guilds expect most raiders to have Engineering.
I mained a Rogue with Herbalism and Engineering all through vanilla. It’s a good combination, as Herbalism is a money maker at endgame and Engineering needs gold. Even if you’re not a raider or PVPer, engineering trinkets are worth it just for the jumper cables and gadgetzan/everlook teleports.
Wait until the battleground patch.
