No, 100% wrong. Current pvp system where pvp gear ys bis for pvp is perfect and should mot be infrnged upon. Not by trash temporary items like circlet not by meme enchants like corruption and def not by pve gear being higher ilvl than pvp gear.
Pvp gear should up its pvp ilvl automatically with that change

SL was dope. My btag list was booming, the forums were hilarious, 10x as many people were actively PVPing, I don’t see the downside (minus farming legendaries were a pain).

Sort of. SL launch was late 2020, everyone was called back to work by then, but society was still treating a stranger sneezing like a declaration of war so I’m sure it still played a hefty role in bolstering participation.
My personal belief was giving people easier drakes then taking it away did a lot of damage. It fostered the ‘I’ll never do better than I already have no point in still playing’ mindset.
I’m picking up what you’re putting down here big C but let’s not get it twisted: PvE players were PvP’ing in SL because PvP gear was bis in PvE, not the other way around.
The carrot leads the horse. People thinking PvP participation will jump if PvE gear is bis are completely wrong. It will just make PvP players PvE. We have to make PvP gear 6 ilvl’s higher if we wanted to increase PvP participation.

this is what confused me. ive hit Elite on two characters this season and these forums told me it doesnt mean much because 98% of pvpers have elite? cause its free? so is that not true or whats a good site to check?

actually i got it the second week of the season on my main warrior but its w/e according to these forums Elite is “FREE” and is considered a “casual” achievement but ok ig ggs man /shrug
