Do we gotta do PVE to get BIS pve gear such as a crafted piece
Just need one Spark of Shadowflame and a conquest trophy per crafted piece. Every other mat can be purchased on the auction house. You can get half a spark per week from one of Malicia’s weekly pvp quests, and there’s a one-time quest in the new zone to get an extra half spark.

Yeah you do have to do a little bit of PvE.
You need to do a bit of questing in the new zone, not complete it just a bit into chapter 2 IIRC. It takes less than an hour, then you can get the quest for the first spark and subsequent ones you get solely from doing the PvP quest. And it’s account wide, once you’ve done the questing on one character on alts you can just fly down the cave and pick up the spark quest.
Outside of spark all you need is trophy thingy to upgrade ilvl which you get from PvPing and the rest you get on the AH instantly for like 3-5k gold.
It’s actually super easy and fast.
I did 4/7 of the campaign in new zone on an alt and its not something I ever wanna do again. The new zone is just pathetic. I cant even again, Guess it conquest gear only for me

You don’t have to do the campaign again, alts can just fly there to get the free spark quest and I’m pretty sure after the free spark quest you don’t need to go back at all, you get your half sparks from the PvP weekly and just combine them into a spark from your bag.

Flying to pve zone for quest? WHats the quest name.
PVPers shouldnt have to even fly to that zone

Power Unified is the initial spark quest. Once you’ve done that once the rest of the sparks you get all season you can get solely from the PvP quest.

I can’t believe you’re actually complaining about having to do something once on one character.
You do it once like others have said and then it’s account wide. After that you can do the PvP quests from Malicia that require you to do battlegrounds, solo shuffle, or arena. You’ll get one splinter a week and you need two for a Spark of Shadowflame to craft PvP 450 gear. Easy, the rest you buy on the auction house and you put in a work order.
The horrors of doing a tiny bit of PvE in a game that’s PvX! 
I don’t think people should have to do content they don’t want to do, as time is the only currency you can never get back.
I don’t want battle pet collectors feeling like they have to PvP for those crabs, nor do I want PvPers to have to do weird PvE stuff to spend an evening with their friends without feeling like you’re holding them back. I don’t want PvErs having to do Temple of Kotmogu for legendary cloaks.
Once it feels like a chore it can never again be a game.

Grab the 1500 honor in (pvp mode) quest(s)
Fly down into the new zone, go the mole city, talk to the Blood Elf and grab the fragment/spark quest
Do the aforementioned 1500 honor quest, turn it in, open the box

so how do i upgrade pvp gear cuz even maxing out pieces 5/5 it still says 437 ilvl in bgs soooooooooooooo
Honor pieces are 437 in pvp combat even if you don’t upgrade. Conquest is 450 upgraded or not.
Is there actually any meaningful advantage given with this? Or is it just a minimax thing? Can I ignore this and just gear with PvP?
When you upgrade PvP gear, I think it only upgrades their ilevel in PvE. So, if you don’t care about PvE, you can leave your honor gear at 0/5 upgrades.
Improving your PvP gear is mostly just going from honor gear to conquest gear.
Anyone know how we get more of these special S2 spark thingies?

I don’t know about the crest stuff.

If you watch the video above, you’ll see the crafted gear can be the same ilevel as conquest gear in PvP.
If you have trouble finding RBG teams, consider doing rated solo shuffle (RSS) or arenas for conquest points.

Probably. IMO precognition for casters is pretty meaningful. The main stat proc when you CC seems pretty good too. The tank cloak seems busted from what I hear, tho that could catch a nerf.
You absolutely can ignore them, but you won’t be optimized. Like last season if you didn’t have your infurious pieces you where at a disadvantage, not an insurmountable one but a disadvantage none the less.
It’s worth spending 45 minutes, one time, doing some quests to get it IMO. Just pop some Netflix or Youtube on the second monitor and cruise thru it, it’s super easy. After that you get subsequent sparks simply by doing PvP quest, which if you’re a PvPer you where probably already doing.
