Why would you get a Heroic piece of gear if you only do LFR? This severely diminishes the player base that only does Heroic Raid. The post says they don’t want to diminish the Mythic raiders by handing Mythic level gear. So this tells me it’s ok to diminish a larger group of people?
This makes no sense, if your going to use this system than if you do LFR you should get LFR gear. If you do normal you should get normal gear. I personally don’t like this system either but at least it’s consistent and you don’t diminish a tier of raiders.
For people that exclusively PVP or do Mythic plus this is especially bad. For most of us me being in that group a Heroic piece is a side grade at best.
This should be for bad luck protection, the great vault certainly does not have it. In my mythic slots I received all mythic cloaks last week.
Balance the gear, put BIS options in both M+ and Raid so you don’t need a Puzzling Cartel Chip.
The system in Dragon Flight was fantastic, why fix something that’s not broken.
Even if I could get the currency from LFR and then upgrade it, have any of you DEV’s done LFR? It’s horrible and not fun.
Let me play the game the way I want to play and that’s doing 12+ mythic plus and 2k plus PVP. Then allow me to use that currency to get a few items. This hurts no one.
They changed it so m+ players can get mythic m+ trinkets. This alone fixes the biggest issues with the system. Other ones like not putting the best items behind the last bosses in the raid can come in future seasons
You know, if they’re not going to make it like dragon flight season 4… which is my preference.
I might be satisfied if they made heroic undermine gear cost 2 chips while mythic requires the boss kill + 3 chips.
Heroic raiders then have the option of getting 3 heroic choices and a myth track dungeon option (9 chips total). Maybe using some of that heroic gear to work towards 12s if they don’t have it.
The only reason people are mad about that, is that raiding has an accessibility issue. Increasing rewards isn’t countering that, it’s just pissing off people because the underlying issue wasn’t resolved.
It is basically a non issue now. People can get comparable trinkets from only m+ which was the right move for Bliz. It is okay for raids to have rewards too
They left in the lackof friction for the capability to buy a one time boost and redeem myth track while keeping +2s and lfr on farm for the rest of the season.
They really should have kept the reclear requirements as a sort of “difficulty - 1” to deter such if they wanted to maintain integrity. Make people at least complete +10 keys or heroic raid for myth track in followup weeks after the mythic raid and +12 requirement has been met.
If this is supposed to be a deterministic BLP for poor drops in content and in vault, why is it giving loot for not playing the appropriate difficulty each week? It’s just ringing the dinner bell for people to buy a boost and short-circuit gear acquisition in its current state.
If their intention was to not turn season 2 into a meme season, they failed by this aspect.
Heroic gear isn’t prestige. Timewalking raids and delves give hero track too and they’re also easy.

There’s no way they’ll hand out that much free loot on anything but a throwaway season.
Then do normal instead of LFR.
Then you already get the full benefit so what are you complaining about.
Ok, so no Jastor Diamond. Which barely anyone is going to get either, I sure ain’t. It’s not like M+ is getting specifically stiffed. People are way too stupidly fixated on BiS lists thinking they REQUIRE those items to succeed.

I appreciate your comments. I did want to point out that it is pretty cheap to get a full heroic carry these days, and so the LFR hero could buy a token, buy a carry and get their heroic piece of loot with the diner.
I think what you said about DF system is what would be best IMO. It is a bad luck protection system.
I’d also be cool if heroic gave mythic and LFR/Normal gave heroic. We’ve had TWing give heroic in the past. A few pieces isn’t a huge deal.
Lastly, what you said about PVP. There really isn’t any system to reward PVPers that I can see like they reward raiders.
This is the bit that annoys me most. If it’s supposed to be bad luck protection, then make it for the level of play you’re at. If it’s not supposed to be bad luck protection, and is supposed to be just for fun, then just let everyone get a mythic piece then nerf the top items next season.
This whole middle ground thing is just tedious. It shows that Blizzard respects mythic raiders, but don’t care about anyone else. Not M+, not PvP, not delvers, not casual players, no one. Only Mythic raiders deserve to feel special.
To be quite frank, I don’t care if I get mythic level gear or not. I would have been just as happy without the dinar system. Just this implementation shows a huge amount of disrespect to anyone not Mythic raiding by saying they need to feel special, the rest of you just take your free handouts and go.
