Trying to complete “Breaking Their Hold” achievement. I’ve completed several iterations of Necro assaults, on multiple toons, during the last 3 months and have yet to see the quest “Putting A Plan Together”. I opened a ticket and they say it is working as intended. Does anyone know a trick to force the quest to trigger?
During Shadowlands there were several complaints that this quest wasn’t popping up at all, but I recall people would miss it the one week they were on vacation or not online. It’s RNG if it will show up but be sure to check every assault and cross your fingers it’s in the rotation that week. Seems like it is not as common as some of the others. I doublechecked wowhead comments since it’s been awhile since I did these, but it sounds like you need to do the Waiting in the Wings quest first for it to show up (if it is up). You may be waiting awhile, but not much you can do aside from check every time or make a suggestion to improve the spawn rate.
