i’m stocking up on these pets, can anyone confirm if they will be unobtainable after the SL release?

typically these types of pets are not obtainable at a later time. No guarantees but worth picking them up with extra currency.

The fel bat from legion was just as easy to get and it’s worth about 500 gold 5 years later. Now that haunted momento item. I’ll be grabbing a couple of those

Reminder that Fel Bat pups from the last event are still near-worthless because of how saturated the AH is with them.
If every player has the same idea it won’t work haha

Would anyone use it anyway?
I’m not telling you not to but this is probably useless. I stocked up on the Legion pets and they only go for 1 to 2 thousand gold. The currency for that pet is very easy to get so it’s going to be alooooooooong time before they’re valuable.

I don’t plan on selling them for a long time, but the nice thing about selling pets is they’re easily movable to different servers. 5 years down the road, they could be worth something if they do end up unobtainable

No they were removed. Well, the shards to buy those pets were removed so if you weren’t there, you can’t buy it.
nethershards can drop from just about anything from the broken shore. re-added in 7.2
You can prob sell them on AH so nah, stack them up and sell them for later profit, or there will be too many and its worthless like fel bat.

You can. You just can’t get the Legion one, besides from the auction house.
I just checked. Looks like the Captive Wyrmtongue vendor is still there but no longer sells any items.
