Anyone else put off by the price of legendary tokens?
I’m an altoholic, I like juggling several classes, and this is just too expensive.
I’m even hesitant to dish out the 200k on my main, and that’s just for my pvp legendary, I also have pve ret one, pve prot one and holy one.
As well as my warlock’s Wilfred legendary, hunter’s serpent sting, DK’s dark transf leggo, Warrior’s kings one…
It was fine season 1 with 5-30k price, but now they’re 150-400k.
Bruh.
It’s not necessary at all to upgrade right now. Wait a few weeks and the price will plummet.

Sanctum of Domination is not tuned to require rank 5 or 6 legendaries. Even the folks doing world first don’t have them. The price will drop, right now they’re high because everyone ‘thinks’ they need them, but they really don’t and they’ll become affordable, especially as more of the vessels get added to the market as more players get the items required to make them.
A rank 4 legendary is all you really need right now, so work towards getting that and you’ll be set for a while.

Problem is rank 6 is next week and price will remain the same then, and it’s +27 ilvl. Guess it’s dish out a crazy amount of gold or be gimped.
Blizz makes them expensive on purpose…

Blizzard does not control AH prices. Players have always jacked up prices on items they think are valuable. Hell, back in MoP before tokens even existed, the various reborn versions of the TBC weaponsmithing patterns (such as the Lionheart Executioner Reborn) were selling for 100k+
That’s far beyond what most players were able to reasonably afford, but it didn’t stop people trying to list the items at that price.

Korthite is very limited rn so it’s expected that price will be high. It’s highly debatable whether this was intentional or not, I wouldn’t dismiss either opinion.
You need to understand ATVI is a AAA corporation that’s mostly after profit, and designs game around that, so this may well be intentional.
You’re not going to be gimped by not having a rank 6. I don’t know why people like to over exaggerate.
Honestly it should be expensive. A rank 6 legendary is higher ilvl than mythic raid gear so the fact that it’s even obtainable simply by buying something off the auction house is ridiculous in the first place yet people still find a reason to complain about it.

There was an entire thread filled with people spreading this nonsense earlier today, because people will just about believe anything you tell them if it paints Blizzard in even a slightly negative light.

Yeah you do, try rated pvp right now with all these hyper geared people tryharding with 10 weakauras to track everything and every bit of edge they can gain.
And then don’t take +27 ilvl upgrade they got.
Main issues are the korthite crystals. 40 needed and they sell about 2.5-3k each plus any vendor items like the 125g items. So it’s costing about 90-130k just to click the craft button.
Nobody in pvp has a rank 6 legendary right now so what are you talking about?
Of course they don’t, they have rank 5, next week they get rank 6, and price will be same.
So it doesn’t matter, you still pay 400-500k for rank 6.
Chest price for rank 6 dropped to 230k, so at least that’s something.
Hell, even world first mythic raiders don’t have rank 6 legendaries right now, so I doubt any PvPers have one either. The odds of running into 1 player with a rank 6 legendary is slim to none. Encountering more than one? At the moment those players are unicorns…

You’re not losing rated pvp because someone has a rank 5 and you have a rank 4. You’re losing because they’re better than you. Stop placing the blame on things that are irrelevant.

You don’t know what more do you get, gladiators or boosters.
Trying to hit 2.1k as regular pvper is rough atm. Doable, but if you’re gonna pass up on rank 6 leggo upgrade and stuff like that, harder.

I think people are jaded and most of them have no business feeling as such, as you bring up, half of them/us don’t NEEED a level 6 leggo (yet).
But on the other hand… We can’t prove without absolute certainty that possible influences by Blizz are or are not by design. I know you’ll refute that, but its ok.
Right, the one rank on a legendary is an automatic win. Like I said you’re losing to people because they’re better than you.
It’s always hard to hit higher rating in the beginning of the season because you have everyone from glads to noobs all in the same bracket. This is not new.
