Put a CD on cheap shot this cc is just insane and not fun to play versus, enough is enough

Not sure putting a CD on a stealth ability is the right approach. Maybe increase the energy cost, maybe put charges per shadow dance/ stealth. That or just nerf CDR for shadow dance.

This. They should not be able to spam it and still have resources to pump max damage.

This is what I think but there is another issue because of skills like thistle tea and symbols of death. (Sub likes to exclusively uses those) Meanwhile outlaw uses adrenaline rush.

It’s hard to find a sweet spot
If cheapshot is nerfed the wrong way, sub probably wont fundamentally work with Its burst rotation.

Don’t think a cd needs added, just the energy cost needs upped so if you decide to spam cheap the entire team your dmg actually suffers.

So? I don’t like being pollied or feared but it’s part of the game.

Just up the energy cost so it’ll eat symbol/AR so they cant do max control while standing there doing almost unhealable dps.

Would it kill rogue if they couldn’t back to back cheap shot the same target? Sort of like hit combo I guess.

Clarity:

  • Cheap shot → Cheap shot can’t be done.
  • Kidney → Cheap, or Cheap → Kidney → cheap can be

No, somehow rogues survived without dance and subterfuge across all specs for numerous expansions.

I dont know I just think think the dmg paired with the stuns is what’s dumb. Separating them adds a choice and we need more of those in the game.

My thought process would be:

  • You can’t cheap the same target twice back to back. Meaning if you want to commit Kidney to the healer for cc, you are left with only 1 stun for the kill target. In order to cc the kill target w/numerous stuns, you have to commit Kidney between the cheap shots, or lead with Kidney → Cheap shot for 2. This also would mean you can only cheap the healer. Blind go is still scary, and it maybe fixes nothing, but watching rogues spam cheap shot is wild 2 me
  • This still allows you to cross two people w/cheap shot though, perserving the “control” aspect of it. It still also saves Sub it’s identity of being the stun class, no other class in the game would have that much control even w/the nerfs proposed above. It also would be a situation where you could use another player’s stun to fill that gap of cheap → cheap. So if a hoj goes between them, you can cheap out of that hoj since the preceeding debuff was not cheap shot.

I agree, I have no idea how energy gen works and most rogues according to Murlok (sub) play thistle tea which is insta 100 energy, but maybe they use that for damage?

Just remove that, there needs to be a cost to rogue doing things other than maybe a GCD lol.

The issue with rogue is it’s vanishes, cloak that resembles a bubble, cheat death and all the other things that make it unkillable.

maybe make cheap shot and kidney shot share a CD for sub since they can farm dance back and have 2 vanishes with more CDR. idk if outlaw needs that, assa def doesnt need a nerf to cheap

I wonder if maybe upping energy cost and adding an exhaustion component for using it frequently would be a good idea. Good luck getting the rogue dev to allow his baby to be nerfed but maybe if you spam cheap a bunch your energy regen also gets halved or something.

I’m not too familiar with how stun dr works but shouldn’t you be immune to all stuns after your 3rd stun? Why can Rogues just keep 1.5s cheapshotting people over and over, does the dr immunity not apply to it?

Also Rogue CC is out of control and too toxic and unfun to play against. Nerf that and bring up their sustain damage or something to make up for it.

You are immune after 3rd stun, you can’t be stunned after that even by cheap shot.

Way back in BC cheap and kidney were on different DRs though, was insane.
