Make it impossible to stealth to, and only accessible after clearing content. Put a bunch of un-kitable stealth detecting mobs on top of it so hunters and rogues can’t farm it. Heck, put it right underneath Hakkar.
Rep rewards, heart of hakkar trinket, and world buff is enough reasons for guilds to clear ZG.
Would love them to put one in the Stv arena and announce it in the area with the time till it spawns

How about a random ZG boss popping up everytime you approach a black lotus? That would curtail the farming.

Yes, again, but the problem is the supply of lotuses. If we had 1 spawn on a gauranteed 3 day reset, it would help high population servers with the huge demand.

As someone who played vanilla, the supply and demand of lotuses is way off and not reflective of vanilla populations. Classic servers are larger, but the resources able to be gathered in the world have not increased. This is a problem.
I’m not saying black lotus shouldn’t be expensive and rare. It should. But this level of rarity vs the demand is too extreme and not reflective of vanilla numbers.
If you want to see the difference of providing herbs in instances, look at the price of dreamfoil and gromsblood vs silversage and plaguebloom.
Dreamfoil and gromsblood have held steady under 1G each despite dreamfoil being the most used herb in the game because DM makes it available.
Both plaguebloom and silversage have spiked in price because they are only available in the open world and you cannot increase their spawn in any way.
Having ONE black lotus spawn per 20-man lockout is not unreasonable. You may even have a whole raid with no herbalist in it.
