Oh no no no I wasn’t calling you ancient OMG!!! I didn’t mean it to sound that way! My wording could have been better.

just messing with you .
They weren’t all that patient back then either. The complaints were constant when games were delayed – so much that companies like Blizzard stopped providing release dates altogether, and they were mocked to no end in sarcastic fashion for when the game would be released (“expect it 4 years from now”). Blizzard and Nintendo games being delayed would drive people up the wall with impatience – although they found it was well worth it when the final product released.
People seem to have a blind memory of how things actually were back in the day.
Maybe they don’t want a repeat of the dumpster fire that is BfA?
Nobody wants that, but asking them to delay it without any real point of them needing to is just a bit odd to me.
I don’t want to be in BFA any longer than we need to.
OP maybe doesn’t realise this but they’re asking for BFA for a minimum of 7 more months with no updates.
I say delay it until 2030. An extra 10 years should do the trick.
How do you even know where they are as far as development?
Telling them to push it back just because you think its a good idea? lol
A bad idea is a bad idea no matter how long you spend on it.
There’s always two years in between expansions. They haven’t fallen behind due to COVID-19. BC is probably my least favorite expansion outside of WoD. Most of their dungeons were copy and paste of other dungeons, too much similarities.
I don’t think Blizzard really needs anyone else’s input on this.
Because their track record has been so wonderful over the past years.
Yeah you’re right, it’s much more likely that they’re gonna listen to some random yahoo on the forums when he gives them “permission” to push the game release back to next year.
Apparently listening to themselves hasn’t been doing them any good, so why not.
In your opinion. Obviously they’re still doing well as a company so I’m sure they’re just fine making their own decisions.
Nope.
Is going to be long enough as it is.

That must explain why they’re not selling as many titles or keeping as many players as they used to – when they “did” push titles back to ensure perfection. I await more logical responses.
Ah here we go, you’re going to claim that you know exactly why ~10 million players quit the game, and every single one of them quit because of bad business decisions right?

Calm down old man
No, they obviously didn’t quit in massive droves because of anything Blizzard did, even though they’ve been hammered for their decisions & complained about all over the place for not being the company they once were. It’s all a coincidence.
But keep drinking from that delusional loyalist fountain; I’m sure it tastes good.
“You don’t have proof so you are wrong!”
Get off my lawn!!!
Pushing back the release date won’t matter if Blizzard keeps doing what Blizzard usually does with Alpha/Beta feedback… which is to say, stubbornly ignoring anything that doesn’t fit into their “vision” for how the game should be enjoyed.
BFA beta everyone complained about Azerite as a system, what happened? Nothing. Blizzard pushed Azerite gear out anyway and the entire system and expansion is now generally viewed as bad or nearly as bad as the most hated expac in WoW history (WoD).
Here we are again with another borrowed power system that people are expressing legitimate concern with (Covenant abilities) and what will Blizzard do? Push it out anyway despite a large outcry that it’s a flawed design that is counterproductive to how people enjoy the game.
Longer testing periods won’t matter if Blizzard won’t listen to the testers feedback.
