Time for a fun thread!
Once a year in Azeroth – Throughout the zones of Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms: The annual ‘Purge Night’ begins!
- A world PvP & achievement event-night where EVERYONE is flagged free-for-all PvP for 12 hours … Flying mounts can only be in the air up to 20 seconds at a time, after which you cannot mount a flier for up to 5 minutes.
‘Purge Night’ benefits:
- Player bodies drop 25,000 gold for their first death every hour (debuff on those slain)
- 25 player kills without dying rewards you a WoW token.
- Surviving the night without dying earns you a ‘GREATER PURGE TOKEN’
- Killing 25 players without dying and surviving up to 3 hours earns you three 'GREATER PURGE TOKEN’s.
- Surviving the purge night no more than 5 deaths or having more than 5 kills regardless of deaths – Earns you a ‘Lesser Purge Token’
- Every 3 hours you survive without dying earns you a ‘Lesser Purge Token’
- Killing your guild leader will earn you a ‘Lesser Purge Token’
- Simply participating in the Purge night for at least 3 hours – Regardless of merit, will earn you a ‘Lesser Purge Token’
Your accumulated time on purge night played is account-shared, so you can switch between toons as your leisure.
- Naturally you cannot ‘Hide-Out’ in an instanced zone for token progress either (like dungeons, raids, delves etc)
Parties up to 5 players are allowed, numbers beyond such – You will not receive purge tokens for your efforts …
The Purge Store:
For each ‘Greater Token’ you can buy a single FOMO reward that’s no longer available in the game, whether it’s a gladiator tier set, gladiator / M+ season mount, Mage tower appearance or unique title.
For each ‘Lesser Token’ you can exchange it up for 100,000 gold and for multiple lesser tokens you can exchange them for unique or recolours of desirable mounts, such as:
- Blue Al’akir
- Blood-dripping red Invincible
- Quel’Urzulas — an Ur’Zul made with elf faces as opposed to Draenei
- Pitlord mount – Bonus Feature: a succubus wearing sunglasses casually rides with you!
- Massive Chihuahua mount … You heard me - the stuff of nightmares!!
- Wings of the Destroyer – (This “Mount” gives you the dragon-wing visual of ‘Embrace of the Destroyer’ to fly around with).
- and Khadgar’s Wheelchair: “I broke his legs to get this thing! … On purge night, so it was sanctioned.”
You can also exchange lesser tokens for high quality feasts, large quantities of flightstones and an item that changes your prime ‘Backpack’ to a 40 slot bag! 
And finally … For completing a list of achievements on ‘Purge Night’ – You will be rewarded with the mount: ‘Vision of Epicus Maximus’ – (Google: ‘Epicus Maximum’ for the mount model).
