Punishment/Condem

also, heres a custom apl where I removed any proc based enhancements, and made it so that it only casts execute, rampage, and crushing blow while enraged (not rampage since it enrages you on cast) and with recklessness up. This guarantees crushing blow will always gain the cruelty 20%, and execute/rampage will get the extra crit chance on every cast to keep things equal.
The only reason execute will ever sim with a lower damage per execute than crushing blow is because crushing blow is only active during recklessness, thus has 20% higher crit chance 100% of the time. Execute hits harder baseline, even with raging blow being modified by cruelty and 2pc.

and no it doesn’t change with smf

As a prot warrior, I do not want to switch avatar for condem…

I would rather have parry and avatar over condemn and skull banner.

So put Avatar either in Prot’s talent tree or make it baseline? Easy fix, cause I agree Avatar is very nice for prot.

I don’t see the point of one poster continually needing to try to take away from other specs because I among other have posted about making condemn available to all as it is now.

Execute is a fantastic rage builder and rotational ability that has made Fury and even prot feel better IMO.

This, but I would rather have condemn over spear.

How’s about it being a choice talent? so you can pick condemn or spear?

yeah I don’t think punishment could ever compete with spear in damage or utility.

What if it were the full Condemn and not just Punishment?

It’s less about the function and more about wanting to keep the animation

That’s the funny part; we don’t.

I mean, that really should likewise be on the class tree.

Kinda wish we’d give up the pretense that these stances (5% AA damage vs. 3% crit) will be any kind of interesting, drop them and free up their 3-5 accordant talents, bring Ignore Pain back to the Class Tree —with Defensive Stance going back to Arms and Prot just getting further base DR and maybe Battle Stance— and allow for 4 extra points worth of less path-constrained utility.

I’m fine with having Condemn available as long as it achieves what it was originally designed to do, being a better version of Execute.
