is there any word on any kind of punishment for people leaving while we still have time left on the mythic + keys?
this leaving after a few wipes are getting real old

Completely agree that there needs to be some punishment, but you’re going to get smashed with:
- If I have to leave a key it’s not my fault, it’s yours!
AND/OR
- I enjoy not being held hostage to failed key runs!
AND/OR
- If the run is going to fail why bother staying?

these are both very valid responses, though.
if you see someone completely failing in the key and you don’t want to deal with that for an entire run, why should you be held hostage?
Secondly, if you are only in the key to get rating or achieve for timing the key, why would the person want to stay if it won’t be timed? Personally, I’ve left my own key when i see this happen… Get to first boss in jade temple, have three people die to first “Wash Away.” I just wipe up the attempt, then hearth when i ressurect because i know it’s pointless to continue. Should i really be penalized for leaving my own key?
But…I will say that most people don’t just “leave” keys for no reason. If the key is going smoothly enough but won’t be timed, people usually won’t leave.
However, when you have multiple people failing a boss mechanics enough times to cause a few wipes, then its understandable someone wants to leave.
as i said, if the group wipes repeatedly to the same boss, i think that is fair game to leave.

Because you chose to sign up for the key fully knowing what you were possibly getting in to. If you’re that much of great player that’s happy to brick someone’s key, at least try help them correct the issues first.

The higher keys i do are not the place to be learning mechanics. I’m not here to teach a person the boss mechanics in a +20.
The place to learn mechanics is a +2 or so. If im doing something under like, say a 5, I’ll never leave because that’s the place for learning…
As i said, I’ve even left my own key in these situations… Should i be punished for leaving my own key???

Only If there is a punishment for the people that cause people to leave.
Hard failing mechanics, not using your kit and low dps.

Of course not. And I’ve left my own key as well.
It’s the people that leave keys after one or two wipes that need the attitude adjusting.

you mean the person who queued into my +20 without knowing the boss mechanics wasted everyone’s time, right?
I did a jade temple 21 yesterday and literally three people died on first boss’s first wash away cast… i just left… didnt think twice

i dont think ive had 1 key yet where there wasent atleast someone heavily underperforming or not using 100% of thier toolkit, in high keys that alone is enough to wipe a key and for alot of people this late in the season timing a key is all that matters to them because they already have the gear and are just pushing score
M+ is competitive, make your own group and state no leavers cause most of the time people just want that time

That would require Destiny 2 to stop taking all my attention.
And with mayhem still live, that ain’t happening till next week.
But I mean hey, I can post on my main no problem.
Dunno why you can’t do the same. 
sure it will. your highest key is a 8, you gonna just jump straight into a 15?
