#PullTheRipcord

Can I pull the ripcord on the pull the ripcord discussion?

I mean, I feel like that’s splitting hairs at this point.

Sure, as long as its attached to the covenant ripcord.

Sorry, but I know not to cross my wires.

Its the same wire, if the change happens, no need to post.

LMAO.

There is no fabric to the story or the systems. They are literally changing covenants and soul binds right now.

Nooo they can’t pull the ripcord just do the two quests it maintains the space time continuum.

The world quests are basically 100% fluff in the upcoming expansion. Boring Shore had higher stakes with flying bats that had no chance of overriding the positions.

Lots of flash, theatrics and fluff but where is the substance? Pull the rip cord and forget how it looks…better it works than how it is perceived IMVHO.

God looking at the new stuff added to the vendor from farming the maw is terrifying. 2500 Stygia for a socket? 500 Stygia for a conduit upgrade? Nobody knew what they were doing with the maw or what their intention was but it looks like a really big timeless island with no mounts or content we will be farming all expansion.

That’s what gets me…I’m so casual I almost would have bought the meaningful choice/rpg argument at one point. Sure I like options but I’ll make do with 2 mages…but learning that none of this even remotely lines up with the story or lore makes the whole thing a joke more than just from a mechanical standpoint.

I read that.

More ST damage doesn’t automatically mean victory unless it’s chunking health bars. Don’t know how many times I can say it.

Well of course it’s an assumption. It comes from experiencing the game for over a decade now. If it works, great. If not, then it’s expected.

Also this conversation is proving a point. Which is when just looking at one form of content, look how complicated it is. I feel bad for players who want to partake in M+, PvP and Raiding all on the same character.

im bored already

The zones look nice but the story doesn’t support covenants right now. Plus with the maw we are going to slowly move away from the focus of these zones toward the maw. The maw is where the story will progress and will progress for everyone regardless of what covenant you choose. :100: :+1:

The maw is honestly, unbelievable and i cannot state this enough and any more bluntly.

It is the biggest piece of crap zone I’ve ever been to in 15 years of playing this game. It’s worse than Silithus before the AQ stuff was added. When it was just a zone you farmed elementals for spellpower enchant.

It’s massive, you don’t have mounts and if you try to zoom ahead there is a random fear. It’s just so so so bad.

You know how you do a dungeon or a boss and you’re like wow that was terrible half way through, you encounter this 5 minutes into the zone.

Shrine of the Storms and Drestagath i had this. I’d rather do Drestagath weekly for all of Shadowlands than idle all expansion in the maw.

The best part is we’ll be refarming sockets every patch for our new gear. We will literally be there for two years.

I’m calling it now more people will quit Shadowlands over the Maw over any other part of the expansion it’s that bad.

Find me a single person defending the maw in any form. Even the people against pulling the ripcord would have a hard time.

YOU CANT EVEN MOUNT FFS

You probably should stop assuming it until you look at numbers. Those numbers aren’t finished, but It’s a fairly close comparison between BoTD or BoTE in bfa. People run BoTD because of the on demand dmg…

Probably should, once again, research the other options in that slot.

You are right. We are discussing the potential options of 3 or 4 covenants and their application across multiple forms of content. All have positives and negatives. Which is the entire point of the system.

Just now, in today’s Beta build, they added items to upgrade your Conduit ranks. Guess which currency is required to buy them and where it comes from.

This. ^^

The recent hunter covenant changes just solidified kyrian as the go-to option for arena.

The chakrams damage is meaningless when you can almost 100-0 people thanks to the crit you get from resonating arrow. And now it lasts for 4 seconds when stepping OUT of the circle too. That’s just crazy, ESPECIALLY with binding shot being baseline too.

Binding shot < resonating arrow < Double tap aimed shot < Dead player

Yes. MM will stay as is and never get brought in line. It will continue to 2 shot entire teams.

You should stop assuming that I haven’t been doing Rated PvP for quite some time and talking to me like I’m new. I can look past reading the abilities application and think about how it can function in many different scenarios.

Also your example, doesn’t counter what I stated.

So like the rest of the game where I can change these positives and negatives without too much effort before all these borrowed power systems that clearly have not worked, Blizzard decided to make another one that’s absolute hell for players who want to experiment and create their own builds. Can’t wait for all the “shocked pikachu” faces when Blizzard steps in and changes it.

And nothing but kyrian has any application? Ok.

So, the system is bad because players can’t experiment… but also bad because players won’t get in without being meta? You experimenting in world pvp?
