Because I can’t see where locking covenants is a good idea. It takes away player freedom and unlocking them would take nothing away from anyone.

We all have different opinions. Discussing opposing opinions isn’t “fighting”, it’s called discussion. People are allowed to disagree. That’s what this forum is actually for.
What are some good points of the pull the ripcord crowd?
What’s going to happen is Shadowlands is not going to sell anywhere near the numbers BFA did when it released. People are not going to come back this time because of how bad BFA, WoD, and to an extent Legion was. Legion was pretty trash until they pulled the ripcord there too. I remember guilds refusing to take people to raid unless they had at least 44 points in their skill tree and most wanted 48.
People forget how bad Legion was at release and Shadowlands is going to be the same. What do you think is going to happen when people realize they are not getting taken to raid because it’s going to take his class/spec 14 weeks before they get all 3 potency runes when some other guy that’s half as good as they are is being taken because his class/spec 3 potency runes unlocked at 9 weeks?
Once people figure this stuff out it’s going to be crash and burn just like BFA, but this time people have already seen it coming because of BFA and they are just choosing not to buy.

This expansion will be a colossal failure when it had so much hope.

Sadly to many the flag button is a dislike button.
Because people don’t like when others speak against the grain. I get spam reported all the time and my posts are restored. I reread what I typed before I post to double check that I didn’t break any rule in the code of conduct.
The funny part about this situation is that the people who are trying to get me banned from the forum are going to eventually get themselves banned from the forum for abusing the report mechanic.
It’s no big deal though.
But you don’t. You constantly tell people they’re wrong if they don’t like everything Blizzard’s way. Your go to phrase is “I don’t understand why someone would pay to play a game they hate”. Every. Single. Time.

Because you can’t change covenants like cheap suits? Because you might have to actually make a tough meaningful RPG style choice?
