Release Horrific Visions tomorrow!
Yeah this whole staggered content thing has just deleted my hype for the patch to be honest.
I’m so tired of that buzz phrase.
Also: Staggered content release is great, imo. I’m not pulled in multiple directions all at once. I can do my end game and the new Hallowfall stuff. Then I can slide right into whatever is released next after I’m done with Hallowfall and still have time for my end game.
Are they not being released tomorrow…?
What is the point of the patch if not?
8 hours of maintenance for some minor world events, lol
NGL, This is the stupidest launch to a patch I have ever seen, Lets time gate content that came out 6 years ago and release corruption enchants that are not that great and will be eventually removed in 3 months. This whole thing, just seems like an incredible waste of time and money from a developer side. Id rather see a PVP patch versus this, is that wrong of me to say?
But wouldn’t be better just to choose what side activity you do besides your endgame?
I’d rather have the option than letting them decide what I get at a time from this staggered release.
No. Tomorrow is just some new outdoor mini scenario faction thing. Oh and a EXP buff for alts.
Visions aren’t until May 20th, Dastardly Duos June 3.
That’s how I look at it too.
Give me options A, B and C. I’ll decide what I do and when I do it.
It’s a video game. Why am I being told to eat my vegetables before I can have dessert?
Yeah it’s kinda dumb. It probably means another 2 hour maintenance or so further down the road.
Yeah, plus… honestly I’d understand if it was a whole new zone full of intricacies and timesinks like Mechagon. But Horrific Visions is old content recycled - which to be clear, I do not have an issue with. I actually like it because it defeats the discourse that they forget about old content past its expansion. And Dastardly Duos, for what I could understand is like a Brawl’s Guild “Lite” content that probably won’t last long.
So, I guess the issue is also that this content that’s being staggered is not that worth of that kind of timegate.
That is just lame…
But youve got people with no self control thatll whine that its too much to do all at once and they have to do it all at once or they’ll fall behind someone in one particular field.
Its the same reason our “dailies” now run 2-3 days long and weve got 33% of what we used to
Horrific Visions is what I am most looking forward too. I remember hating it at first but then it grew on me and I ended up really enjoying it.
No. Because Visions and Duos are both limited time.
Ahem
Selfies.
As I plan on skipping Horrific Visions (like the first time), I am indifferent but I hope you get them soon.

The playerbase has shown itself to be a devouring swarm that cannot handle mass releases of content. They ignore most of it, refuse to go back afterwards and do whatever they skipped, then demand that the next valley of crops be released immediately so that they can swarm once again.
Blizzard needs to stagger releases, that’s been VERY clear for a long time. They should also stop releasing new zones, dungeons seasons, and raids at the same time - they need to spread them out.
It’s one thing if it’s meant as some kind of cool story progression. Like multiple stages to an invasion type event or something.
This is just weird. It’s delaying the release of finished content for no good reason.
Oh you’ll live.
How is it weird? Visions and Duos are basically events. Duos has a hard start and end date.
