I’ve noticed that when I am sitting at the summoning Stone and pinging for someone to come help me summon somebody that everybody else will just go into the dungeon and sit there not talking. If the player who needs a summon takes too long they just get kicked
Followers won’t summon you either.
With portals to 4/8 of the dungeons you should be able to get to them on your own quickly. Whenever someone asks for a summon they get it. I’m willing to bet you are sitting there waiting for a summon without using your words.
As a Warlock, I know the party doesn’t start without me. People aren’t getting here until my milkshake brings the boys to the yard, so to speak. That’s why I always just get there on my own.
Especially if I know I am going to be raiding.
I don’t understand the people who sign up for a Raid and just sit in the city typing “1” .
If I can get there to lay down the closet and summon folks, why can’t everyone else get here? I suppose that isn’t for me to know - my job is just to get the lazies to the fight.
You’d be wrong. Never once did I say that. 99% of the time, I’m at the stone trying to summon when others go past to sit in the dungeon for however long it takes that person to arrive.
We are talking about two different things. I was talking about how people are expected to get to the dungeon, but when people “ask” for a summon they generally get it. Which is why I said that the people who are just waiting are likely not even asking for a summon.
Because some of us are sick of lazy people that refuse to move from dorn to go to instance.
I have a hard “if I fly, you fly” mentality so I’m not asking for a summon nor am I giving one.
Raider etiquette (yes it applies to dungeons too) you get the group, you should be moving there soon after and be ready for the dungeon. Period.
On occasion I’ll help summon people. But if I just got done flying across the world to get there and someone else is still chilling in Org or whever and asks for a summon… nah.
I’ll be the person that tells them to fly their butts to the dungeon or raid like we did. No special treatment for lazy folks.
If someone asks for a summon and they aren’t stuck somewhere far away with their hearth down, that’s a kick every time. Easy decision.
By asking for a summon you immediately prove that you are entitled, egotistical, and lazy. Why would I ever want you in my group, or just generally breathing the same digital air as me? Life demands enough time be wasted dealing with low quality humans as it is.
If youre doing 10s or higher I assume the expectation is you port yourself, or at least I believe thats the contributing factor. Well, that, and; the general anti-community sentiments of the season making people care less about others.
This.
I will assume you are porting yourself unless you let us know for some reason you cant (went to wrong place, on cd, etc). And then I am absolutely fine with popping out to help.
The OP’s title and post seems to suggest it’s a present day issue of “PUGs not summoning.” You can certainly inject historical importance & demand of summoning stones, but that’s NOT what this is about. It’s a “today” issue that I’m pretty sure is explained by easy portals to all the current season dungeons in Dornogal, so nobody bothers to summon (apparently to the surprise of the OP).
This sounds like bait.
With how easy it is to travel, nobody needs a summon.
There is part of a generation that has 0 social skills. But 0 seriously. They don’t respond to a “hi” in the chat party, they don’t summon, they don’t set up a mage table, you have to beg them to buff, not warlock rocks, they’re taking away my desire to play.
They invite me, I say hello in the group chat, if there is someone else I summon, I put food, if later it is necessary I put a hammer… the run ends and I say hi. Well, if I did all of that with followers at least they would respond to me. Very sad.
They act in a “survival of the fittest” style without realizing that in real life… the least fit are them.
Who is the selfish and lazy one? The one who asks for a summon or the one who doesn’t want to click on the other’s back?
This is like who came first, the chicken or the egg.
Or do you suppose that the summon stones are there because they have the street numeral written on them?
Forget about summoning, what about rezing!
Giving resurrection is out of fashion. Another thing added to the long list of things… They are YOUR dead, resurrect them!!!
I have seen far too many where players will join a group, not say hello, not say thanks for the invite, not even ask, just join and spam 111 111 111.
I’ve seen plenty of times where a DPS joins a raid and spams for a summon, gets told there is no warlock and instantly leaves. Like bro, you are a DPS, you are a dime a dozen, if you are going to be accepted into a group you say thanks and make an effort to join the group because you might not get an invite next time.
Worst I’ve seen was a group back in DF, I flew out to the dungeon and FOUR players, the key holder included, were all asking for a summon. This went on for about 2 minutes of them constantly asking if someone can summon them with me asking if one of them can come help over before I left
Players need to put the effort to get to the destination and stop being entitled thinking people will just summon you over, doubly embarrassing that the key holder or raid leader is going to ask for a summon.
lol haha
Not summoning you to the dungeon they traveled to is toxic when you were perfectly capable of doing it as well instead of afking in Dornogal expecting everyone else to do the work for you? Lul
Should all loot also be passed to you at the completion of a dungeon or raid because you’re just above actually playing the game?
