I do that too with my kids(I have 3, 2 girls and a boy - one of the girls is out of the house now, but it still works well with the 15 y/o and 11 y/o lolol)
Usually is the quickest way to clear the room and get them to do what they’re supposed to.

I’m a troll? You came to the forum to complain about pugging with players who shouldn’t be in the raid, if anything, you came to the forum to start an uproar with this.

I think he is saying people (not sure if you are included) are trolling because they keep saying they would have left the raid, when he says in his first post that he left the raid when he realized what gear they had.

OP, you can be undergeared, but if you know what you’re doing with your class, you can pull the raid off. I’ve impressed many a healer, and I exclusively tank. plus, it’s based upon ilvl, and not color, just saying.
Pugs have always been globally bad, but, I mean I’m sure you feel better about yourself.
There is a difference between undergeared and 90 ilvls undergeared.
BoD pugs are ESPECIALLY bad right now because you can’t tell the difference between a raider who hasn’t been pushing Mythic+10 every week and a casual player who’s only previously done world content and warfronts. The gear rewards are too similar. When I was gearing my Paladin here I experienced 3 pug groups in a row that couldn’t handle the first boss in BoD, at all, not even close. That boss is crazy easy. Anyone even remotely familiar with raiding should be fine there.
CoS seems better for some reason but there are also more people above 400 in the queue for that.
Edit: Totally aware that OP is talking about a specific case of a couple undergeared guildies trying to get pugs to carry them. I’m speaking more generally.
No. It’s because the OP was complaining about undergeared people in the raid, and the response from that poster was about people who have heroic gear they don’t deserve, which had nothing to do with the topic.
305 isn’t undergeared it’s not even heroic dungeon gear you can’t do heroic BOD period at that item level let alone tank it if you think otherwise then you haven’t done it before.
near the end of legion, i got invited on my monk that i was training at the time for a normal Antorus raid (from my guild on my monk) at 840 ilvl. I was litterally dead weight, minor stuff that wouldnt kill will kill you (due to low hp) and bad dps.
I pugged a normal cos first week and we completed it in 3 pulls total. 2 weeks ago, i tried again for a new trinket and lol people were playing as if it was lfr. its a mixed bag.
Actually you are the pug player. The raid leader was probably carrying a few guildies and needed big DPS to cover for them. That is why so many Raid Leaders ask for BIG dps.

Gearing up my Paladin so I haven’t been checking IO too seriously, just inviting the classes I feel fit best with the comp…
Just got out of a +7 King’s Rest with a 401 Rogue that didn’t know any of the damn mechanics. None. Explosive totem, soaking charges, dropping gold spit, nada.
There’s a strong case to be made against casuals being able to achieve high-rated play levels of gear, that Rogue would be the poster child of that case.
