Guilds are easier for sure and scheduled, so less time wasted in queue.
The only benefit of pugging is that you don’t feel obligated/compelled/responsible for doing stuff at a set time.
Not gonna change your mind, I got AOTC in a pug before doing it with the guild.
Pugs are hit or miss, but you can progress in them just as well as a guild. The only difference with guild is you can have a steady schedule. With pugs You can get instant invite or wait 2h for a group that seems decent.
With the normal/heroic lockout, if you’re someone with random play times. Pugging is great, you can just log on anytime and find a group for the boss you need. and continue another day with another group. It’s good if you have commitment issues.

I hate being obligated/compelled/responsible for doing stuff at a set time.
Sometimes I need to take care of RL things and if I must drop from a raid, I do.
