What’s so special about keys higher than 15? I’ve had a lot of success timing +15’s with pugs, but +16’s are a new beast. Tanks pretend they’re in the MDI and people can’t do mechanics. I’m talking about people with KSM. How did they get their score so high and not be able to interrupt and move out of frontals? They can’t all have been boosted.
Drops higher loot, contributes to higher Great Vault, and also Concentrated Primal Focus for higher tier crafts.
This is the huge part, if you want to get 418 (?) crafted gear you need to use concentrated focus upgrade items.
KSM means nothing, I’ve seen plenty of people with KSM or even 3k+ io that do absolutely awful damage and just face tank mechanics before leaving the key.
We currently don’t have any great metrics for… Player skill in PvE? I don’t know how to really word that any other way, because rio score and ilvl don’t really present a lot.
Example, 383 Evoker in a key I did earlier that did 25k overall. They got hit by (most) mechanics, luckily it was a 3 so it doesn’t matter, but they didn’t do any damage by default.
This is a hot debate topic, but there’s no way to accurately gauge someone’s ability outside of looking at their io score, and that’s not always a good metric. M+ is a competitive game mode, but unless we have a fluid score in tandem with our push score, you’re going to have to put up with potentially (mechanically) terrible players with inflated scores.
Easy way to get around this - add the good players to btag and ask them to queue with you when listing your keys. Simple as that. I have a huge roster of insanely talented players that I draw on when I’m pugging or just sending keys in general, and I highly recommend it.
KSM doesn’t mean anything especially with the lower bar of only needing +13.
stuff scales to 20 this expansion.
