So like iv been listing keys, mostly low keys, but when i list them hardly anyone signs up, however soon as i get a tank, everyone shows , like a bunch of people… I dont get it, wouldnt people wanna sign up before everyone shows up to get a better chance of inv and get a spot, cuz when theres alot of people in Q im gonna be picky lmao… I just dont get these people, are these the same people complaining about not getting M+ invs ?

Tank’s fill one spot, so does a healer. People are impatient, don’t want to wait around for a tank or healer to show up. If you are gonna get picky, expect things to slow down.

i only join groups with tank and healer because they get going faster.

If I’m a tank and there’s a group with 3 dps I just mentally filter it out.
Also looking for groups as dps I’ll only ever app to ones that already have tanks because they could potentially start soon whereas a tankless group could be waiting 20 minutes.

Groups with a tank or healer or both get off the ground in like a min tops. Without its 10+ min.

Tanks or healers sometimes have a dps duo with them. Joining a group with 1 or 2 dps already slotted in means any of those healer or tank duos can no longer apply. Not worth my time waiting for 20+ minutes for a solo tank or solo healer

Tanks and healers are a heck to find much less a competent one for the key. Its often better to look for a key that has either the tank or healer filled rather than join a group with 3 dps because odds are you’ll be twiddling your thumbs for awhile in the dps group.

This happens because people can’t search other groups whilst in someone else’s group. So you end up with all the dps waiting to see if a group is going to be viable before applying because there’s 50 other groups they’re currently spamming applications to that already have tanks.
Make friends with a tank/healer who likes to do runs. Win.
Group without a tank, and I get bored waiting for one so I go find a new key.
As a healer I only apply when you have a tank already. I get invited instantly to most groups, so of course I’m going to choose not to wait and immediately start the run.

If you are applying to keys that are appropriate to your gear and score, its often faster to get an invite to a group that already has a tank or healer, rather than sitting in a group with only dps waiting for a tank or healer to show up.
If you are hoping to catch a carry or skip working your score up, then its better to list your own key and wait it out.

If you realize a few things this makes sense.
- People over value themselves (Main character syndrome, too good to wait with others or at all)
- People are impatient to a fault (They skip groups for 30mins looking for a “fast start”)
- People are Obstinate (Perceptions are not regularly tested, people will stick with learned concepts well past relevance)
I’m sure this comes off negative… and it is, but it’s also true in far too many cases. To be fair I actively fight these behaviors myself on the regular… It takes work.

But what is there to fight against? If you can choose between waiting for 30 minutes or not waiting 30 minutes to get the exact same outcome, who in their right mind would choose to wait? Most of us have limited time to play and I can’t fathom why anyone would want to waste it waiting for a tank.
I do that too!
When doing any role, joining or becoming, when the first 3 roles filled are DPS I kind of avoid the group. Don’t really have a justification but it’s just my superstition.

I think you missed the point… If you spend 30 mins passing on groups to find one with a tank that will take you… It’s very likely you could have just joined a 3dps group and got a tank inside of 30 mins…
I use a premade group filter, and have it set to only show groups with a healer and tank, and I only apply to those.
I usually always get invited /shrug
