Pug raid size preferences?

I’ve been leading pugs more often and I’ve always seen mainly 3 raid sizes from other groups.

2/2/6

2/3/9

2/4/12

The more I’m playing, I don’t like any of these and feel bosses get much easier with a higher dps to healer ratio.

I’ve been trying 2/3/11 as my default, or even 2/3/12 if the dps is more geared and 2/2/8 for Nzoth. I normally heal and just few bringing more dps is way easier.

On a 2/3/11 Il’gynoth we completely skipped the MC on the first and last phases this way.

What do you prefer when pugging?

I’m sure much better/geared players would push even further.

before i became washed up, i loved the pressure and reward of healing in a 226

or 217 sometimes bay-beeee :muscle:

gettin world top 5 world of logs all cata

2/2/6 is only really the easiest for n’zoth.
Most the other fights are easiest with 30 people as long as theyre not all morons lol… except for ilgy. 30man ilgy is a bit rough cause the mc’s

Get enough sick deeps and don’t even deal with MC!

1/1/19 heroic Xanesh the other day. It was kind of funny. The boss went poof.

I do 2/2/14+ for most bosses in my Saturday heroic alt raid though.

Edit: I don’t think we’ve seen an MC on heroic Ilgynoth in two months.

For Il’gynoth, just get 10 people who can self-heal and do 2/1/7.

For everything else, people used to need 2/2/6 at the beginning of the expansion, but if everyone is geared, I’d say that the healers have an easier job and you can probably get away with 2/2/8 or 2/3/12 or 2/4/17. I only heal on an alt though, so IDK if this is super stressful or what.

That sounds awesome for guilds but kinda risky in blind pugs hehe.

I may do 2/3/14 at some point. Did 2/3/12 on Vex and only saw 1 air phase which is nice when so many pugs somehow suck and get hit.
