Pug groups checking gear?

Is this a joke? Why are people performing gear checks for leveling dungeons? Lol the content is pretty brain dead I think it’s laughable I’m being asked to link my weapons for a group invite.

I would never do this personally but i think people are checking to ensure people at least have questing greens from Hellfire (rather than Communal gear). The communal stuff is really trash. I think some people worry that it might lag the group or cause a wipe.

If you have communal gear you don’t belong in a dungeon. Simple as

Yes it is insane but like … make your own group to make the rules

That’s a wild take - the leveling dungeons are so easy someone with three fingers could do them.

I got into the group - my gear is fine - I just find it pretty hilarious

If you have communal gear you shouldn’t be in dungeons. You may think you are “just fine” but you really aren’t. You got carried

Imagine thinking you deserve to be in a dungeon in communal gear.

It’s really, really, REALLY bad. On purpose.

Take the time to run LBRS/Strat/Do welcome quests in Hellfire.

A person expecting to be hard carried is laughable and inconsiderate.

So glad I haven’t had a cumunal tank yet :face_vomiting:

Really wish communal gear was SLIGHTLY better, just a tiny bit. Honestly need over half of that stuff replaced before being able to really contribute effectively in a dungeon.

Thankfully Hellfire Penn just hands out pretty good gear from questing super fast.

True dat. At least dps are a dime a dozen

Have had three groups in a row with communal geared mages who refuse to use CC or even Blizzard to slow mobs. Went from doing big pulls to pack at a time. Different mage each time.

I believe it. I had one myself that liked putting amp magic on the tank in bf for increased damage from the bombs. Sad part is I don’t think he was trolling, backpedaling, no cc’s frost bolting one target in an AoE situation. The list goes on

It’s just been mages too oddly, they speak and interact so I am pretty sure they’re not bots but their actions (or inactions) kind of make me think otherwise.

The hunters, locks, etc I have been with have ranged from average to a pretty stellar hunter I ran with late last night.

ugh lmao, thats uh, a bold choice.

People are still wearing communal gear at lvl 64 or 65 and its a joke that is the case considering all that gear can be replaced by lvl 63.

I had a resto druid healing SP in communal gear and he had an agi cloak on. The tank and dps were no better the dungeon took an hour to finish.

I had a mage this morning roll need on the longstrider ring from the last boss in MT. Ive also seen mages wearing the healing trinket from BF. Also had a mage in a crypto run that would run in and just hit arcane explosion and fall over dead.

He even did that on the 1st boss and just stood in the barrage.

Most groups seem to have a no rogue policy so rather than complain on the forums, I make my own groups.

If people want to perform gear checks, then that’s their prerogative as group leader regardless of how silly it might appear to you.

No one wants to play with a 58 boosty in greens when they put the effort in to not do that themselves.

It’s very easy to understand.

I agree. no one wants a dps lower than the tank

ragebait post for sure but a communal tank/healer would probably get their butts clapped by pulling one or two packs together. This is one of those expansions where the dungeons hit pretty hard

A communal geared boosted prot pal will get one shot by the last boss in ramparts
