There’s a lot actually.
We have to remember that the “HC PTR” will also be testing the new PvP systems.
Most importantly, getting the PTR just means more information in general.

If its not this Friday then we’re looking late fall…
Blizzard probably realized they will net little to no profit from hardcore servers (people can already do it on Bloodsail) so it’s on the back back-burner.
There is a large amount of people that have stopped playing BB in prep for the official servers tho. Cant use that as an out.
Official servers will be the most populated world in any era of WoW…pretty much ever imo

Blizz is probably coming to the realization that wasting 6 months of coding for a server that will be dead in 2 months isn’t the best allocation of resources.
I give it 4 months. Hardcore will kill a lot of the botters which rapidly increase a server’s demise imo.
Farming 400 murlocs for 2 pearls, for some crafted boots, is fun though…
turning off the graveyards is like 30 minutes of work.

The PTR is going to be more then just the HC realms.
they can test them internally. that’s their job.
