Why is execute getting nerfed when it is one of the lowest damaging abilities on both slayer specs?

In short, I do not think Blizzard has a class designer for every class anymore. They only have a handful of people tuning every class and spec. Unfortunately, it is painfully obvious none of them play warrior at all, let alone understand all specs.

as far as im aware it was the set bonus nerfed for slayer (which is still an insane bonus) and not execute itself
Manaforge Omega 2-set bonus – Execute damage increased by 10% (was 20%)
Both of the set bonus nerfs for warrior specs (Colossus/Slayer) are kinda weird. None of them were really frontrunning on the PTR either.
Thane’s buff is still missing a few 0s.
Why are you surprised? Hate to say it, but so far I’ve been right. They haven’t got a clue what they’re really trying to accomplish.

It’s simple really. They use an AI bot and the prompt was the bring rival hero talent tier sets in line with one another. The slayer tier wasn’t particularly amazing compared to what other classes have but in comparison to what the Thane tier is, it’s a million miles ahead. So the AI bot they used just buffs this and nerfed that without and regard to the bigger picture, because as the prompt wanted, bring both sets in line with one another.

It was certainly looking to be a strong set bonus. However, if it must be nerfed I wish they’d reduce the damage of the Slayer Strike procs.
Not only does that help maintain execute’s spot in the gameplay, but it also helps execute stay relevant in AoE which is something it desperately needs.
