This doesn’t actually have much in the way of things to do with the story, I just found both it and the comments under it infinitely amusing.
Blizzard seems to be implying that the Alliance will start out looking like the Good side yet will eventually reveal evil behind their actions.
As to that Fan Picture: Obviously Nola is Void or Death-aligned considering she has glowing Purple Eyes and Purple Magics! One must research her Purple Potions in my opinion.
Also Nola’s Model(though not Skin) to my memory is used by one other Tortollan named Jool and that one has dosed himself on Blood Magic from the Blood Trolls as is plainly obvious from looking at his Model.
TFW a kindly old lady pulls off “morally grey” better than Sylvanas.
to be fair when people called them out on sylvanas not being morally gray they backtracked and said something along the lines of sylvanas is not morally gray, the world is
that’s cause the Forsaken as a faction just are. Since Cata and post-Lich-King revenge arch, their whole thing is that they don’t fit in with anyone and keep doing things the living don’t like. They’re compared to the Scourge because substantively, what’s the difference? The people have slightly more free will?
While i’m all for helping crabs get some tasty-tasty turtle flesh, I was under the impression we were helping young Tortollens , not just baby turtles make it to the water? (Given that whole line where ‘a Tortollens life begins among great danger!’)
If it’s just been baby turtles this whole time then Nola wanting to take a more balanced approach to the ecosystem doesn’t come off as quite as monstrous as all that.
On the other hand, if we were truly looking to balance things out, shouldn’t we be helping the crabs by killing the elderly sea turtles and feeding their carrcasses to them? I figure one or two ancient sea turtles should be worth 20 baby turtles.
This is the full line:
A tortollan begins its life amidst great danger, like these turtles here on the beach. Defend them as they make for the safety of the ocean!
We were never defending young tortallan’s but they probably share a common ancestor to the turtles you’re helping, which is why they felt the need to aide them.

So moral of the story is if we had just done nothing, life would have found a way and already been in balance.
Nola isn’t Morally Grey, this new quest changes absolutely nothing. I can’t even believe that anyone would think that she is Morally Grey…look at her.
She’s Chaotic Evil. She directs you to lead tortoises into an ocean while giving you scrolls designed to butcher not one or two, but tens, hundreds, of local wildlife - wildlife that she attracted with the tortoises that she is having you lead into the ocean.
She is a sadist who takes pleasure in the slaughter of animals, who laughs at the PC’s feeble minds as she manipulates and deceives us into committing atrocity after atrocity, giving us meaningless trinkets while she keeps her hands clean from the sidelines.
Scrollsage Nola is Chaotic Evil. Evil to the core.
