You mean the threat calculations the community has largely known, and had addons to share and transmit, since before the Threat API was originally added to Retail in WotLK?
This is simply an example of Blizzard being overzealous in eliminating API functions and forcing addon developers to use workarounds which are hardly new.
Surely you had to know developers would dust off the pre 3.0 code, right?

This has been annoying the hell out of me since classic launched, I’m so happy they fixed this. All mount speed bonuses have been half as effective as they should be on epic mounts up until now, because the classic client has been using the retail model of calculating mount speed bonuses which was changed in Warlords of Draenor.
Logged onto the PTR and can confirm it’s fixed.
While this change won’t be quite as noticeable during Vanilla content (because the mount speed bonuses currently in the game are fairly weak), if Classic goes on to TBC, paladins especially would’ve started noticing that their crusader aura was significantly less effective than it should’ve been.

It really is that many. Account services, forums, or game access from a different device or location… or after reinstall. It’s not at all a one-time thing. My friend even permanently lost access to his discord account because of 2FA when he lost his phone the same week his PC died. Had to make a new one.
I frequently log into at least account services if not the actual game from remote locations or on new devices. I’m fine with the existence of authenticators because they do work for some of my friends who used to have chronic hack problems, but I personally do not want to use one.
No one fully understood how threat behaved on Onyxia (Fireball) or Ragnaros (Wrath of Ragnaros) until recently, well after Classic launch. I believe that’s what they are referring to.
rofl…so AQ opens in two weeks instead of a month-ish; and the only reason it takes two weeks is because of the raid lockout on the required mobs.

Pretty disappointed with AV “Rep Inconsistency”. How the hell did the Galv change not come sooner if it was available to Horde? Holding druids is a big way to get rep for Alliance. Most games will end up relying on Armor Scraps I guess??
The real rep inconsistency is in how many games it takes for Exalted comparing Horde vs Alliance. I think it’s a net loss for Alliance with the Druid change.
Horde gets exalted but they use AV for honor just as much. They don’t care how fast or slow the rep grind is.
Yeah, it’s a change… And I’ll bet the hardcore #nochanges folks are gonna have to resort to self flagilation for liking it.

What could this mean? Could it mean that the feral tanks who have desperately been waiting for an attainable item, however difficult, to replace their level 55, P1, blue, BOE pants (Or their level 53, P1, early-boss blue pants) have A GOOD OPTION?!?
No, no it doesn’t. In a 14.5 year shaft-the-feral druids reach from the grave, the WSG pants are not included in this patch, and feral tanks get screwed again. Good luck getting Lethon, suckers!
This is exactly why I did not even roll a druid despite maining a bear tank since patch 1.7. I could not bear to relive the early days. The one unexpected positive change has been player support for what was once regarded as the equivalent of a meme spec (memes weren’t really a thing yet!)
Its literally what you get in retail for having an authenticator.
People need to whine like little babies less.
Please! Release Ferocious bite rank 5 to keep ferals competitive with the other melee dps, it would be a very minor change and would be great for the game to keep ferals motivated as many other dps classes dps scaling starts to climb.
