I read that having a pet Pterrodax summoned gives you a slow fall ability, but I can’t figure out how to use it. Does it actually have this ability and where is it?
Will be in your pet’s spellbook. Look for Updraft then add it to your pet’s spell bar.

Bear in mind that you can add pet abilities to your own action bars. You will find Updraft in your pet’s spellbook.
The Updraft ability needs to be manually activated either from your own action bar or the pet’s action bar. This can also only be done with your pet out.

Note that feathermanes are also able to supply you with feather falling, and this is available to all hunter specs.

For people that haven’t tried these, the feathermane/pterrodex slow fall functions like the mage version, not like a parachute cloak. They can be cast (and the buff remains) even if you are on the ground, and results in you having a floatier jump and disengage. I’m sure there are some niche platforming applications.
