But see, that’s the part that’s silly!
Why is there this invented binary between “you care a lot” or “you don’t care at all” about something that should be accessible for anyone to engage with? It’s an open world prepatch event, they shouldn’t have had to quit on their holiday plans with family or something in order to “prioritize” this little event.
And for the thousandth time, please everyone remember to use the universal You when discussing this with me, because I do in fact have my trinket lol.

I imagine it’s going to come up for like one rotation right before I get off of work.
Only saw it in Ungoro Crater
It was accessible to everyone.
You didn’t have to perma camp it either.
Check every 3 hours when it refreshes and then mostly afk until the boss spawns multiple time.
If you didn’t make the time, then the game isn’t that important to you and that’s fine.
I had it on day 2.
Obviously if you still don’t have it, you didn’t put that much effort into it because I sure as heck didn’t either.
no lifing world of Warcraft hasn’t been cool in the community for over a decade.
people got jobs they got families I can’t take days off of work to camp a random spawn.
I was doing it super casually thinking I could finish it up on the holiday weekend knowing that I had all of Sunday off…
except for apparently storm lord had all of Sunday off too

BUt hey blizzard million dollar company can’t handle this
I have both.
You had plenty of time. You just didn’t make the time. And that’s fine. This didn’t require no lifing the game. You couldn’t just grind it out, you just had to wait for your elemental to spawn. The schedule was set and known, you only had to check every few hours.
Umm I did… no storm for dunno how long was more then the last 15 rotations.

Right, but there are a lot of people who cannot just swing by a computer every three hours to check. Even people who might have had a solid 8-10hrs the day of/day after Thanksgiving only get, what, 2-3 chances tops at rerolling the dice within that time period before they’ve got to give it up?
All of this boils down to the part where Blizzard should’ve made the RNG balance better for this. What is to be gained by arguing against that, genuine question?

Yeah, this is a bit of a bummer. Had a ten day vacation down south booked a while ago, started November 14, just got back Thursday evening and have not seen this guy but once, and of course at the tail end of the three hour window. Got achievement at least, not sure if luck will allow the next two windows to have this boss (and then drop the dimmed). Seems unreasonably rare to me.

I guess I just don’t care enough to find fault in it. It’s a trinket you’ll likely never use anyway.
What happened with TG? I see it on the rarity counter but hasn’t had a spawn as far as I’ve ever seen.
Not everyone is a basement dweller.
So many people saying “the game wasn’t important enough to you”, “you have poor time management”, and not one realizing that RNG of item drops can deny anyone what they’re after. Even if you kill every spawn of the Storm boss, you can still get NOTHING due to RNG.
I saw the Storm invasion TWICE. The first one, I was able to kill the boss TWO TIMES, no Dimmed Primeval. The second time I saw the Storm invasion, I didn’t get a hit on the boss because the event cycle ended. But I saw the Storm invasion TWICE. It’s not poor time management, it’s not lack of caring. It is LUCK (or lack thereof) and RNG.
I know this is just hearsay, but one guy claimed to have gotten the Dimmed Primeval Storm FOUR TIMES. One other guy has killed the Storm boss TWENTY TIMES, and gotten NO DIMMED PRIMEVAL STORM item. RNG kind of SUCKS sometimes.
If you got all 4 items required for the trinket, YOU GOT LUCKY. RNG favored you. But please don’t crap all over people who didn’t get it, for whatever reason.

clearly you had time to sit around and camp it.
I had time to do one or two a night.
and then a whole day and a half to dedicate it to this weekend.
The storm lord never spawned in those times.
I don’t understand why people are here making excuses for blizzard on this one.
you have three working nodes and only four possible elements. to go a whole day without One of the elements spawning is super sloppy.

Its definately broken no ay RNG can account for 2 days of 8 rotations of 3 spans = zero storm events that is 72 spawns with a 25% or 24 spawns with a 75% chance with zero actually occuring, again no way rng it’s broken!
5 hours.
Each lord is up 3. If you log in at the start of one, then you can log in an hour before they disappear.
Even with my busy life, I waited for everyone to go to bed and stayed up. Sacrificed some sleep and got it done.
Which is why I said ‘if it’s important to you, you will make time’. Because you just will.
Time management.
Now if you want some of my nonexistent empathy to leak through.
They should have added the pieces or the loom itself to the essence vendor.
Darn you nonexistent feelings… DON’T LET THAT HAPPEN AGAIN! You might relate to someone…

Logging into the game to check the elementals isn’t much time. And since I was done day 2, I never had to worry about it again.
Learn not to procrastinate, you won’t feel the looming deadlines.
Because there are 7 other heirloom trinkets. You only need 2. EDIT: scratch that, there’s like 12 heirloom trinkets, they just were cut off by rings for some reason.
So frankly you not having this one because you prioritized playing with your cats for 6 hours is just not something that moves me.

It took me 5 tries to get the Storm Lord drop…I feel for everyone having that issue the damn rotation sucks for anyone that just can’t play all day long for sure…add in the broken site at Tirisfal Glades doesn’t help either…
