I know this is not a novel concept (breaking combat to swap trinkets), but there might be some people who aren’t aware of it. Also, it’s INSANE!!!
Holy crap you can swap gear out of combat? I was today years old when I learned this!
This is a huge advantage for people who do it over those who don’t. This hasn’t been an issue with medallion and adaption since this is the first time they have appeared as “items.”
And, even if it is very well known to the playerbase. It obviously isn’t well known to the Blizzard developers.
Its also something that can’t be done in arena or rated bgs. Why post it in the arena forums?
This is the only pvp forum that matters (and might get read), but hey… I’ll remove it from here if you insist.
Rated bgs u most definitely can swap gear. Arena u cant
Fair enough. It’s been a hot minute since I’ve done rbgs.
I dont blame u. I
my question is can you swap like the honor medallion for a conquest medallion and have them be on different cds in SL? if thats the case you could make a macro if ur sitting a base so u culd trinket blind and insta swap to ur other medallion so u have a trinket for the kidney go
if it works anything like it used to im pretty sure itll just put every single medallion u own on cd when u use it
can you use consumables in rbgs? Like living action potions for example.
No you cannot.
No I believe you cannot. At least if you swap trinkets there will be a 30 second delay if you swap trinkets in an rbg before you can use the swapped to trinket
Living action potions have been nerfed to only be usable if you are level 49 and under. So, you can’t use them even outside of rated instances. At lot of the non-SL potions have been nerfed to only be usable up to level 49 or level 50.
For medallions, but not for adaption and probably not for the relentless effect either.
I’m not sure about adaptation trinket. I would have to test to be sure, although if sitting a base I don’t think I would recommend doing that. Although yes you are correct there is no wait for the relentless effect to happen.
It’s in the video. I use medallion to break stun, drop combat to switch to adaption trinket, then adaption autobreaks follow up blind, fear, whatever. There is no lockout cooldown when equipping adaption.
This is all probably just an oversight on Blizzard’s part since these effects haven’t been items until now.
Hm. Wild, I wonder if blizzard will change that or not. Kinda hope they do, would rather not have a boring teamfight meta again
GJ bringing this up as we all know blizzard fired most of their QA testers so it’s now our job to find these bugs. Hopefully this gets fixed before shadowlands is over.
this isnt something you can do in arenas and has been a thing since the begging of time.
