PSA: Post-nerf tank Brann is FINE for leveling

So I imagine a LOT of the nerf griping has to do with upper end delves, which I have no experience with this season or last season for that matter, but for the record, for a healer particpating as such, tank brann is fine. Had a lovely time this evening with my “battle healer” build holy paladin fighting shoulder to shoulder with brann. Even stood back and straight healed him through a boss while Brann stood in all the bad. It was easy. Modestly geared at level 75. Fully functional. Brann is level 47.

So yeah, no need for leveling altoholics to panic! The world tour of delvers call quests is still an open and viable solo leveling path!

Keep in mind that for leveling, you’re capped at T3.

Right, that’s implied by mentioning leveling, but yeah, he’s fine in that context!

I’m just making that super clear since most people are complaining about T8s or T11s.

People are levelling through delves during a TW week?

My healers, absolutely! I’ll never heal a live player ever again when I have the option to hang with brann or follower dungeon NPCs!

this isnt a psa, this is you bragging that your over leveled brann is over leveled. anyone who has a fresh brann is going to struggle.

I honestly expected people to poke fun at the idea of him not being 60 yet. I promise this was not my intent.

Generally speaking, Brann is incredibly squishy from 8 and up. Guy is getting absolutely trucked by AoEs that his AI doesn’t know how to move out of. The minecart in Earthcrawl being a notable example, but also the line charge from the lost hobgoblins too.

There’s also no baseline for “fine”

Some people would think 30min delves with no deaths are fine, because they haven’t seen someone clear it in 5-10min

Eh. There’s such thing as generally reasonable expectations, and 5-10 minutes for relevantly rewarding content is… not that.

Yeah but people saying tank brann + healer is fine could mean anything if we don’t compare it.

I don’t doubt you could cut tank branns dps or survival by a further 50% and people could still finish it. Eventually. They might have to hard cc and pull 1-2 at a time though.

If tank players + any brann are aoeing down everything reasonably quickly

And dps players + healer brann are blowing up small packs quickly

Healer players + tank brann need something to keep up. Saying “it’s fine” because levelling delves or because 11s can still be cleared eventually is a bit empty, I guess.

The people complaining about 8s and 11s probably don’t even have any business being in 8s and 11s.

In a 1, 2 or 3? LOL no they aren’t.

Yes, but difficult solo content as part of gear progression is a new feature this expansion, you have to give them ~6 years to adapt to that.

LOL you are not wrong.

T11 Delve with MW monk and tank Brann:
Struggles, Brann constantly dies, get mobbed by the mobs that Brann pulled, die. Can’t get past boss because Brann can’t survive longer than 3 seconds with me spamming CDs and heals on him.

T11 Delve with the same character in Brewmaster spec, which has a lower ilevel because of worse trinkets and weapon, and DPS Brann in the same Delve:
LOL that’s cute. Faceroll the entire thing. Brann never dies. Get to end and mindlessly punch boss in face until dead. Collect loot.

And they nerfed HEALS into the ground. This is ridiculous.

But it’s not consistent, though. It’s like selecting easy, normal or hard but the reward is the same regardless.

Man, Tank Brann really is worthless.

lmao.

Yep. I’m facerolling T11s as Ret with Healer Brann like they’re T8s from last season but with inflated health pools. And I’m still in almost all S1 gear since I’m loathe to give up my set bonus. It’s silly how easy they are as DPS - for the rewards you’re getting! - and I hear from my friend that Tanks have it even easier.

I think bliz have already given up and are shifting delves towards a weekly box ticking exercise for some max rewards.

Which ok, if that’s what has to happen now then fine. But call a spade a spade.
