PSA: Obtaining Class Mounts on Alts

For anyone who wants this info all tidy like so you don’t have to go searching for it…

You only need to complete Breaching the Tomb on one character. That’s the achievement for doing the entire Broken shore questline. Don’t do it on every alt.

  1. You will need to complete your main class hall questline (until you get your class title basically, plus an extra quest or two in your hall, the one where you have to stand in the spot and hold your weapon up) (unlock WQs from Khadgar too just to be safe).
  2. After that, Khadgar is waiting on Krasus Landing with the Legionfall intro quest. You need to complete it (skip the scenario) and turn it in at Deliverance Point.
  3. After that, complete Champions of Legionfall from Maiev at Deliverance Point. This one should autocomplete and you can turn it in immediately to her.
  4. Then, you should be able to go back to your class hall and there will a new shield quest available from one of your class leaders (Mograine for DKs, Ravenholdt for Rogues, etc.).
  5. Complete that quest line until you recruit your new champion (Minerva Ravensorrow for DKs, Lillian Voss/Tess Greymane for Rogues, etc).
  6. Go back to Deliverance Point on Broken Shore and there will be a new shield quest available from someone class related who isn’t part of the Khadgar, Maiev, Illidan group (Dread Commander Thalanor for DKs, Apothecary Keever for Rogues, etc)
  7. This will lead you back to your class hall for the questline that gives you the class mount.
  8. Some classes have other color variations that can be obtained in other ways, like Warlock has three, the second you get from a separate achievement/purchase, the third is a drop from a rare, I don’t know if they changed this for Remix.

Things you DON’T need to do:

  • Balance of Power questline
  • Illidan questline
  • Light’s Heart questline
  • Breaching the Tomb on each character
  • Sacrifice your first born child (seriously don’t do this)
  • Each zones questline
  • Anything in Suramar
  • Collect more than one of your artefact weapons

ADDENDUM: It’s been brought to my attention that some of the actual follower/mount questlines do require some other quests to be completed, such as Paladin requiring some quests in Suramar until you can get 500 ancient mana. So your mileage may vary and sorry for potentially leading you on based on your class.

Very useful! Thank you

Thank you! I’m currently doing this on my new Monk in Remix and will check against this list.

Finding my way through the disjointed labyrinth for my Warlock on Retail recently was an absolute nightmare so many years after last doing it on Hunter when Legion was current.

So this is a great help, much appreciated !

Just a heads up though, at this point in time, a lot of the questlines are incompletable for various reasons.

This thread has all the issues recorded:

I’ve been working my way through each class’ quest until the blocker, and then just parking them until they get fixed.

Ty for this list!
Allegedly the Paladin and Priest campaigns require you to do some part of the Illidan quests? Does anyone have any info about that?

Edit: I figured it out. You do have to do a handful of those quests but not the whole chain. After each quest completion I would just check my questlogs “Paladin Campaign” section and see if it was telling me to go back to LHC yet. https://www.wowhead.com/quest=42867/meeting-of-the-silver-hand#comments:id=2392784
For some unholy reason this section was not listed anywhere in lists of the paladin campaign, despite there being a paladin specific version for them to complete, lol.

Now you tell me! /sigh

I got it the quest on my paladin without doing the Illidan quests. I finished Delas’s quests, got the quest from the Broken Shore to go to my class hall and had to get barding for the horse from a leatherworker or from the AH (obviously can’t get either of those that way in remix). Moratari popped up and said we could skip that one but it didn’t give me the barding. So that’s where I got stuck on that quest for a paladin.

The monk one is bugged.

The warrior one is broken too.

If anyone is stuck on step 1, there is a handy list of all of the class specific “A Hero’s Weapon” commands to check if it is completed. Beware reading the full text because it’s kind of confusing, just stick to OP’s list

This doesn’t help in the case of NPCs not spawning, zones teleporting you back to Legion!Dalaran when it specifies that you need to go to x area for y reason due to the Out of Time debuff, or other issues related that people have talked about in this thread: Majority of Questlines for Class Hall Mounts Broken for new Patch

I just did the Death Knight one, I think it’s fixed.

I finished the DK one as well, tried on my druid to do the last quest and the npc is still no where to be found.

I’m trying to get my rogue class mount, but stuck on the quest Hiding in Plain Sight(Horde), because I haven’t figured out a way to get to Exodar without being teleported back.

same, i put a ticket in and the GM told me i need to look for a portal in my class hall and if its not there look harder or put in a bug report. very helpful

Thanks I just finished getting them everyone except monk and priest one as I dont have them but was very helpful.

Same, Moratari says we can gloss over this one, but does not give the barding and does not complete the quest. Some other quests, I have had Moratari show up and would auto complete the quest. I was able to complete the DK one this morning. I had put in a ticket about it yesterday and the GM told me that it, and others were being looked into.

Do I have to complete class hall questline for every character again or just my main? (it’s like 40-50 quests to get a title on each character)

You’ll need to do the main class hall campaign on every character you want to get the mount on.
