PSA: Not every druid herbing in Flight Form is a Bot

This has been a Public Service Announcement from Maizou.

I really shouldn’t have to deal with rude whispers and threats of being reported constantly while on my druid because people think every druid in flight form herbing is a bot.

Stop it.

Usually when i whisper someone that i suspect is a bot, it’s just something non threatening about the zone or whatever just to see if you write back, if you don’t respond, i’ll probably feel like my suspicions were correct and report.

Get used to it. Some players don’t like druids that herb.

That is surprising. People are rude.

They are the ones who should get used to it. They can do the same in the two golem mounts. And druid herbing has existed since the Burning Crusade expansion.

So druids are supposed to prioritize watching chat to see if someone is threatening them instead of playing the game? Yeah, sure. Report everyone who isn’t paying attention.

I get this a lot, too. I mean, I get it…the bots are usually druids.

Be that as it may, when you see me stop and do stuff OTHER than herbing, that should be a clue. It’s when you see more than ONE that you should be concerned. Bots are always in groups. There’s never just one.

If you want to pick herbs in flight form, roll a druid. It’s what I did.

As for this

I don’t owe strangers a conversation in /w to prove I’m not a bot to you. If you /who for the zone, it becomes REALLY clear if there are bots present. What if I’m afk? What if I’m on comms and not looking at chat? There are a hundred reasons a person might not respond to your rando tells “bot test.”

Of course not, it’s more like report people that are displaying bot like behaviors who are also not responding to whispers.

Just do like trade chat says and report the person for reporting.

Just whisper back “Ni Hao” to everything they say.

Or use a Sky Golem or the Mechanized Lumber Extractor.

Afk while still picking herbs? I think that’s what they call botting lol

As i said to the other person, it’s not the ignoring whispers alone that does it, it’s the bot like behaviors too, there are a lot of telltale signs of botting, whispering to try get a response is like my last resort shot at giving someone the benefit of the doubt that even though they may look like a bot and act like a bot, they may not actually be a bot.

Now, you’re being deliberately obtuse. When I’m farming herbs or fish or flying around in circles talking to people…I often get up to get drinks, alt tab to pick another song/video/whatever…

People can go afk for a few minutes and miss a tell. That was my point.

Druid botting has gone on for about the same amount of time.

I was whispered once if I was a bot while farming herbs for my main on my ONE character, not multi-clienting…just one character. It’s sad.

Stop that. I have better things to do then whisper you and 100 other whispers that I’m a player who just farms herbs like I’m supposed to. You waste our time by forcing us to respond. If they are multi-clienting, sure why not…go whisper them. But if its one single druid character, then its almost always an actual player who wants to be left alone to gather and sell or for main’s alchemy.

Which is why i would never expect a reply from a clearly afk/stationary person, i have been more than clear about whispers alone not being the sole reason to report someone but you’re behaving like it’s the only barrier between being reported or not, relax lol

So you do not have a point and do not acknowledge anything I have said. Alright.

I did but people playing druids will just have to get used to it.

its okay. i have a flyin tin can i can loot on… doesnt bother me none. lol. and herbs dont vanish.
:man_shrugging:

You did not acknowledge what I said. You are dismissive and irrelevant. I will ignore you.

Good! You can’t comprehend what I am saying anyway.
