Except I literally did.
Being a tinker requires you to be actually mechanically creative.
The maghar orcs following blackfuse engineering isn’t them showing technical know-how.
It’s like calling a person that can follow a cookbook a chef.

Have you seen the things draenei, dwarves, humans, blood elves, and nightbornes have made?
To my understanding they just find tech, they never create it
Fairly sure if they changed Unholy DK to ranged the DK community would explode. I mean when Blizzard turned Survival into melee I’m pretty certain it was met with threats. baseless, but still threats.
Also it still wouldn’t be enough because one annoying little [CENSORED] has repeated “Necromancers wear cloth and can summon infinite undead where as Death Knights are pointless plated up edgelords who can only summon one measly ghoul”
Nevermind that Unholy has Army of the Dead and Apocalypse.
The race your character is has made starships. You still didn’t address my point.
Eh… while it would make sense, thematically speaking in some regards … Sorry, but the monopoly on tech. has come and gone.
The Draenei, original and extra-light-y, make the Gnomes and Goblin’s tech. look cute. The Mag’har’s Black Rock tech. was the centerpiece for much of WoD’s Raid Scene, one of the few things people have actually praised WoD for. And the Dwarves are so proficient with technology, WC3 decided the Gnomes didn’t even need to exist.
Besides, the gnomes and goblins are both niche races, and I say that as a fan of the Goblins. Yeah, I like the Goblins, but I also realize that not a whole lot of people agree with me enough to play one.
So should Demon Hunters have been made available to other races? I’m actually going to say no, and that’s because the Demon Hunter is 90% image.
And it’s an extremely, suffocatingly specific image. Most other classes represent a diverse suite of themes and incarnations, or at least broad archetypes, but the Demon Hunter is the WarCraft™ Demon Hunter and nothing else. Take that image away, water it down, and there’s really no justification for the class. The Demon Hunter lives and dies on how much it mirrors Bishy Illi-kun (*puke*) so twisting that in any way destroys what little reason the class has to exist.
We already had plenty of lightly armored classes, “dark” classes, and edgy classes. We even had the demonic angle covered. The Demon Hunter as a class is 100% redundant, and yet because of the specific-to-WarCraft appeal of the class, it was something of an inevitability, so here we are.
I just want my cloak glider back.
Just haven’t figured out how to reverse engineer it yet. Give us time. If it can explode, we can co opt it.
Dwarves’ engineering solely relied on gnomes who were heavily involved in their craft.
Draenei are more crystaline than tinkery machinery.
Blood Elves and Nightborne use magical craft, very little machinery actually is at play.
wait… what threats?
Lul… what? How does this even correlate? I don’t remember demons and necromancy having any relevance to each other? Also unholy is literally demo lock but with plate armor.
Tinkerer would be a horrible thing to add to the game. It would make engineering even less relevant than it is. Tinkerer is literally a glorified engineer. At least necromancer has the potential to be better. Tinker doesn’t even sound cool and the abilities aren’t even you yourself. Oh congrats, you build a turret… That anyone who had the knowledge to do could.
It’s like saying congrats to someone who killed a wasp, like cool… I get it, you have a towel. I coulda swatted it if I had a towel too.
Relying on machines as a class and not actually abilities just seems so lackluster and lame.
Those were created by the Naaru.
So is most Draenei tech? Did you really not know this?
It doesn’t as there is very little established lore. That is just your own head canon.
Which is fine. It is how most of the races started out. There is very little tinker lore right now in game with most of the lore coming from non-canon sources.
Also in game there is a High Elf and a Dwarf tinker.
All draenei tech is pretty much created by the Naaru
Exactly you shrinking someone with magic is entirely different from creating a shrink ray that shrinks them through science.
gnome, goblin, vulpera, mechagnome, dwarf and undead
I mean, I actually agree with this. Make Tinker the “Demon Hunter” hero class for these races. Then start to give every two races their own pairing of racial Hero Classes.
Then open those races up to their equivalent allied races, in time.
You are correct that this was originally from the Naaru, but the draenei know how to create and use this technology. There is no reason they could not be tinkers.
Tinkers would be amazing honestly.
We already have Tinker NPC teams in Island Expeditions with 3 distinct roles and unique abilities.
And Tinker is the last hero unit from WC3 that hasn’t been added into WoW.
And no, Engineering is not the same as being a Tinker. That’s like saying Demon Hunters are akin to Inscription since Vengeance has Sigils which are nothing more than glorified glyphs.
So every tinker basically has access to the same kit as every other one. Creating the tech from scratch is less important then knowing how to use it or fiddle with it.
Like saying a car mechanic shouldn’t be able to drive a car because they didn’t create or design it.
Well I’m sure some things were said and they were deleted which was good.
You know how some people can get.
