Haunting spirits are the current way to grief level 1 bank alts, but even if they fix this there will inevitably be more methods found in the future. If you’re sending your gold to a level 1 alt in SW/IF you’re just asking to get griefed. Level them or tuck them away.

They should probably just make people invulnerable within main cities.

And like I said… people will inevitably find new ways to do it. Which is why you shouldn’t leave level 1 alts in major cities.
The only reason I would level a bank alt would be for tailoring and enchanting. Even then, level 20 is enough.
There are lvl 1 corpses in and around the SW Trade District caused by people kiting the Sewer Beast around.
My solution is having a bank alt for my bank alts who is parked in a very safe spot. She holds gold and high value items.
The pros are lvl 35.

I have seen some dead in Org so clowns are doing it or something else on horde side this crap should be banable
Even rolling bank alts you have to click and agree to the warning.
That said the move to bring a potentially deadly debuff to a busy capital is shady as heck. I’m not doing bank alts nor using the AH as well as a few other self-imposed rules. I don’t see anything wrong with others using mule characters. It’s allowed and that’s fine.
As I understand this particular issue has been hotfixed but new ones can arise. Report as necessary. But as always play cautious. Even non-combat player characters have only one life.
Also those that can cure different afflictions be they curses, diseases or poisons and the like, please consider doing your civic duty to keep fellow citizens safer. Thank you for your service.
Ghosts should be able to mail and use the AH so we can suicide a level 1 and just turn it into an eternal ghostly AH slave, carrying out its only function forever.
Or maybe add a mailbox next to the AH in darn?
Get lvl 10, invest in 100hp chest and movespeed.
