Exactly what it says, somehow the launch made all pre patch gear soulbound instead of warbound, leading to them getting deleted out of everyone’s warbanks. Already posted a ticket but might want to check if you also had gear in there

The same thing happened to all the gear in my warbank. Everything is gone. I still have the Residual Memories on a couple of my toons, but not enough to get gear for my alts.

Between this and the stuff that went poof from my guild banks (RIP Dirge’s recipe) I’m starting to wonder what the point of playing is.
This is a game about getting stuff. If the stuff is just going to randomly poof without warning, it makes the whole game feel pointless.

I had 4 rare lunar festival dresses in my guild bank. The ones that were from the original event before they changed them. 3/4 disappeared. They are worth 100-250k each depending on the color.
That was in a tab with similar items of rarity and 1/3 of the slots are empty. it was a full tab.
I can’t believe they are still sitting on the fact a lot of people lost a lot of stuff and collecting stuff is why someone like me would have personal guild banks.
Warband bank empty now too right before live when people want to start picking which char to gear up.
Doubt we will get compensation either.

Well, ya’ know, I’d love to be able to check this out, but I tried to use the warband bank remotely on my main, and I could see that there were some gear pieces there that looked odd, like the icons were greyed out and yeah, they said soulbound.
Then when I tried to log out to check on another character that could actually use that gear, the game got stuck and I had to force close it. Now I’m stuck in a loop where I can’t get back into my main (a character with that name already exists, apparently), and other characters can’t use the warband bank (another character is using it).
So this is fun… I’m going to be pretty unhappy if that gear I had stuffed away in there isn’t available now. It wasn’t anything I purchased, it was just drops, but I hadn’t decided which alt to give it to yet. 
Edit: Finally got back into the warband bank on my main, and I see that all the gear is gone. Will put in a ticket.

I still have all the gear in the warbank that I got from the prepatch event. Just a few pieces that haven’t been distributed to alts yet, and all collected prior to EA release on Friday. I wonder if the timing is connected to the issue. Sorry to hear that so many people had their hard-earned gear just poofed like that.

Did you check to make sure its not soulbound? I can see it on one character but as soon as I logged out it was gone.

This is a new bug that started when the pre-patch event ended. Blizzard is aware and working on it. There is a Support article with what they currently have available for info.

You will need to wait for a bug fix. Right now CS can’t help with this . They don’t fix bugs individually for each account unless devs tell them to.

It’s definitely not soulbound, I logged out and back in on a couple of different alts, and it still says “warbound until equipped”.

it’s not something a GM would be able to help with.
…which is the case for the vast majority of stuff people open tickets for.

It’s bad enough my main got deleted from the first Warbands slot bug, with no idea when the undelete button will be re-enabled.
Feels weird not starting TWW on my main. If the stuff I banked from the prepatch is gone…
This is seriously disappointing.
EDIT: At least 57 things (mostly pieces of prepatch gear) are now gone from my warbank. YIKES. Now I’m depressed.
I can’t even put in a ticket… I try, but it never loads.

Oh man, I saved a set for all 4 armor types, lol. I guess I’ll check tomorrow since I got booted almost an hour ago and can’t get back in and have to head to bed soon. I’ll cross my fingers when I log on tomorrow…

I mean, moderators used to have quite a bit of power and discretion to handle issues themselves. stuck on a quest that bugged? Mods could autocomplete it for you. Boss, who bugged on death and dropped no loot? mod would spawn it, delete it, and give you the drop. Mods dislike you? instant touch of death.

Mine was all soulbound…but after I had accepted that sending to an alt would remove its ability to be refunded. I picked it up from my mail, all soulbound to the character who received it.
