[PSA] How to Report Gold Farmers

Gold farmers have already infiltrated Classic and are spamming their ads by inviting people to gold selling channels.

Please do your part to keep Classic free of these scumbags by following these simple steps:

  1. Note the name of the player who sent you the channel invite.
  2. Whisper that player.
  3. Right-click the name of the player.
  4. Select Report player for spamming.
  5. Enter any relevant details, making sure to say that this user is spam advertising illicit gold sales.

i been getting channel invites for gold sellers on netherwind dead server all morning

I usually do report cheating, I feel like spam reports may go more overlooked.

Reporting for spamming is only a suggestion. People should select whichever report category they feel is most appropriate given the circumstances.

Go roll a new toon on, say, Anathema (for example), play for like 10 minutes, and tell me if you don’t receive a gold selling channel invite.

Gold farmers or gold sellers? There’s a difference.

You have told us to whisper player & the right click name. well the invite are to a CHANNEL from a player (no name to whisper to ) so what do we do ?

It will says So-and-so has invited you to such-and-such channel. Just type:

/w so-and-so hello

And that whisper will allow you to right-click their name. That is the purpose of sending the whisper.

The name they send the invite from is typically doubled from their regular name(Strawberry = strawberrystrawberry)

For me anyways. Don’t know what the deal is.
