This is no longer an issue but if you were affected by it earlier this morning you won’t be getting those items back.

If you logoff right now (at least on Gnomeregan / Moonrunner) and you have tricky treats or the magical broom in your inventory… they’ll go away and upon logging back in they are missing.
This is broken on Horde and Alliance for me, across multiple servers. Logoff after getting a candy bucket and the tricky treats are gone when you log back in. This is true of all items that “Require Hallow’s End”. Proceed with caution folks!

On retail, just happened to me. Noticed when I logged back in my broom was gone… then looked for treats and they’re gone too.

Or maybe do them all in one shot?
You can test it out on your realm with just a single candy bucket to make sure all is well (or not well) but be warned if you do a lot of them…
I’m lucky it was just one horseman run (yay for the broom) and one bucket in Boralus. I logged because the intro quest wasn’t working for the inn and when I came back on it’s just like… yeah, no treats for you.
Same. Was planning on cruising the world on the LF I am leveling collecting treats so I can buy a few halloween pets.

The fire event is broken too. The fires don’t go out no matter how much water is thrown on them at least in Brill OwO
Are you referring to the conjured items that depart when you log out? Hallow’s end has several of those.
That’s what I do for easy xp on non-max levels every year as well. Was actually how I leveled my guild to 25 by myself when that was still a thing

They only despawn when the event ends though, normally. Not during.

I just confirmed this with my druid in Stormwind. She was also missing her treats after a Horseman run… and now the treats from the bucket are gone too.
I got the queue to pop on a low level… but on my main I’ve been suck in queue for the last 30 minutes… Yeah it is broken.
I just attempted this on Uldaman as Horde as well. It’s seriously broken.
Grabbed the treat bucket, opened the handful of candy, got my treats, logged off… GONE
After an xpac, a holiday gets messed up. Seems to becoming the new normal for WoW. In BfA, it was Darkmoon Faire (not a holiday but) and it didn’t get fixed for months.
So they’ve been given the “Teldrassil Tree-tment”?

You can’t mog the pumpkin helm either, it seems the game isn’t flagged as hallows end somehow so hallows end items just disappear when you logout.
Never log off… It is proven. Blizzard only cares about the minutes spent in the game.
