When you have an aug evoker in your group, you will occasionally see shiny, pretty golden orbs that sparkle and float towards the group.
Be not afraid! These orbs will actually BUFF you if you touch them!
This is the end of my PSA. Please stop running from my orbs.

Hehehe just like people who run out of efflo
I guess they could make the coloring more consistent to know what is good and what is not, some green is great to stand in, other green like all of TOP you don’t want to stand in
Perhaps they could follow the common - red means bad, get out, green means good, move towards

Alwqys love seeing people dodge helpful buffs.
Nothing funnier than seeing people run out of AMZ on Death Knight.
lmao.

I don’t care what you say, I’m not touching them. If I or the boss didn’t spawn it then I can’t trust it. >:c

I haven’t seen an aug evoker in ages, I thought they had all been wiped out after they kept trying to shoot orbs at people.

If only Blizz had implemented a standardized good/bad color scheme so that people could quickly differentiate in the mechanical arcade game that WoW has become
Unless you’re super familiar with spell animations, there is very little time to think if an unfamiliar one is good or bad…or needs to be absorbed or dodged…etc

Let’s not forget healing rain… Please stand in the blue circle!

But it goes against 20 years of training by being slapped around by orbs!

Aug has been a thing since like, season 2 of Dragonflight. Why do people not know what it does? T_T
And don’t get me started on healers that are unaware that I put Spatial Paradox on them. They turn all shiny and golden and start floating. Must have been the priest casting levitate, can’t cast while moving!
Basically how I think most people approach it.
I’m gunna be real, if you’re playing Aug with a group that doesn’t know how Aug works, you’re the one making bad decisions here.

I enjoy support in every game that has it. Not my fault people don’t know how it works. T_T

If you’re playing at a level where people don’t know their own class, it is a genuinely unreasonable expectation to expect them to know your class.

Well I’m doing 10-12s and heroic raids, I assume people know at least a little.
Well that is an incorrect assumption to make.
They do it with ring of piece as well. It’s normal to watch people run into the fixated mobs I was saving them from because they are afraid of the ring.
10s are basic competency.
And 12s are like extra nerfed lol.
Heroic raids are free.
Plus if they know anything about the game, they wouldn’t invite an aug.
The only reason to invite an aug is because people thought you were dev.

dropping mass barrier (power word: barrier) in priory sees the group avoiding it like the plague about 80% of the time

Isn’t it actually bad for players to run into augmentation orbs because of how the sands buff works? The aug is supposed to do them themselves to manage the buffs properly because you want to manage sands uptime, which is the main benefit of the orbs. The other effects just don’t matter in comparison.
Not to mention the orbs spawn and then travel towards the aug over time.
EDIT: Checked with Evoker TC. This is indeed correct, if you want to help out your evoker friends then don’t touch the gold orbs unless you know what to do with them.
OP being wrong about how to play his class doesn’t surprise me.

Why do I get Ana healing Genji vibe from this thread?

Poison Bomb on Rogue. Every time it’d proc tanks would pull the mobs out of it.
