PSA Enhance Nerf

A lot of you only seem to think in one particular game mode.
“Enhans wasn’t that far ahead of other classes in dps rankings!”
True, however…
Enhans is hitting for 75% of peoples health in pre-patch arena and is more hitting well over full health bars in the beta for PvP.
Enhans needed a nerf for PvP. It’s not the end of the world. Many of you act as if you won’t play the class anymore because of this nerf. Almost all of you are not chasing world first clears and it will have little impact on you in the long run.

There is more than just PvE.

I agree, but to play devils advocate, why not just apply the nerf in PvP only?

Shhh you’re going to interrupt all these people who have zero idea what they are talking about from complaining and backing it up by saying logs this and logs that without actually providing any for us to see while also not being part of the beta so they also have zero idea first hand about anything other than building up pointless outrage ontop of other peoples pointless outrage.

They should be mad that blizzard just blanket nerfed the whole spec as a quick fix to buy them time to properly tune it between PvE and PvP.

People also are saying it was just elemental blast doing all that burst. No one has given an explanation yet as to why they didnt just choose to nerf that one ability?

This is why pvp and pve need to be 100% separate. A nerf due to pvp kills the specs we love in pve.

It’s annoying.

Nerf pvp damage then. 25% is a huge nerf for ANY class / spec

PvE and PvP are both nessisary. Having a spec do something completely different in PvP is absurd. You’re all acting as if there will be zero changes and the 25% is permanent.

it’s ok, it was insanely strong in pve too.

do you have any idea of the history with class changes in blizzards mind? this change will last a while. Spells might be buffed here or there but it is overall going to be a poor performing spec the entire expansion because of this one change. Also, i’m not expecting a spec to do something completely different in pvp, but tune them differently. You don’t get lightning lasso in pve, so to your point they do perform somewhat completely differently in pvp

I mean, you do get lasso in PvE now I’m pretty sure. Don’t conflate PvP talents with core abilities.

I’m of the opinion that class changes in prepatch should be only based off the new max level stuff and not how wonky stuff is in prepatch.
Signed,
A ret pally that gets nerfed in almost every prepatch since TBC and then sucks at level cap at the start of every expac.

People itt not realizing enhance was and should not be a top dps due to the utility and buffs it brings.

I’m of the opinion any class with only one dps spec, those specs should be really good because they don’t have any other options to swap to.

theres other classes that provide buffs as well but still are near top damage performers. It’s not like i can place 4 totems down like wotlk

That’s false thinking. Also there is a typo I fixed. Enhance should not be a top dps because of the buffs it brings.

And no hybrids should not get a free top dps tuning because of it.

Sounds like WOD part 2 where they nerfed demonology by 25% because they didn’t want you to play it.

So don’t play enhancement :stuck_out_tongue:

Are you really trying to compare windfury to arcane intellect?

What example would you use?

What shaman buffs are you bringing up? bloodlust? hunter pets have that. damage mitigation totems? 100% of tanks have that and its baked into a majority of specs to reduce damage taken. The class offers nothing more than what every other class does. There is NOTHING a shaman brings to an encounter that is mandatory. Revive totem? Druid gets rebirth

I was doing more DPS than people who had Normal raid tier weapons using BOE greens. Some of that could be a skill issue, some could be talents, but I’m not so deluded to think it was OK.

Remember when they nerfed rogues in the BFA prepatch? same reasons.
