PSA: Don't Rush Van, Kill Captain/Lieutenants/Commanders

For everyone grinding out their ranks, its in your best interest to kill all the Captain/Lieutenants/Commanders.

Here’s the Alliance rushing, winning and getting half the Honor we did:

Here’s another, where we have 2k honor in 7 minutes, before the end-of round bonus even kicked in:

There are 6 Lts total, and 4 commanders. Commanders are at each of the bunkers, while there are 2 Lts in front of Captain Balinda’s bunkers, 2 more patrolling the roads, and 2 guarding GYs.

On top of that killing the Captain alone, gives 125 Rep.

It takes a group of 5 people about 30 seconds to drop one. Do it, and get the most out of each round!

Oh, and that doesn’t mean you can’t win either:

They just need to leash the tower guards to the boss’ room and buff/un-tankable/linked to stop the zergfest.

Why are all the Horde giving up our secrets before we get to capitalize…

I just did my first AV on classic and everyone zerged Drek and killed him in 6 minutes. Should have taken your advice.

If all the Horde were already doing this, I wouldn’t need to make this post. But we still have game after game of Horde insisting we rush Van, and LOL GO WSG IF YOU WANT HONOR. As if WSG is even remotely close to the same source of honor per hour.

I really wish they did make the tower guards leash.

Apparently,

Alliance only cares about rep. I’ve had dozens of people say they only want rep and dont care about honor so they’re just rushing for a quick win.

/facepalm

It doesn’t matter. Standing doesn’t care if Horde get 100x the Honor as Alliance, only Alliance against Alliance. They could be getting 2 Honor per, and if that was the best Alliance could get, that would be the method.

Yea, horde have that problem too, but since Alliance have general terrain advantage, it makes way more sense for us to turn a loss into a win on the honor front.

Some people are just short sighted.

You’re absolutely right. My point is, the win it and of itself is moot.

Going for the win and getting 1k honor in 8 minutes vs 2k+ honor is entirely meaningless for the other side. It does however, still make it in the best interest of whoever is grinding honor to at least pop those NPCs on the rush to the end.

Its faction agnostic. Anyone who leaves NPCs alive is leaving honor and rep on the table.

Eh, faster in and out is more Honor/hour than trying to get them all along the way.

really? if it only takes 1 extra minute to get 2x the honour???

You assume you’re gonna get it every time and not split off, slow down, or cause a turtle

Theres no possible way to cause a turtle by killing NPCs. Its capping GYs which cause turtles, which is not what im advocating in the slightest

But I am just me, not the rest of the group. I peel off to do a thing that isn’t zerging, people come with, they fan out, they start “helping” other things, and voila.

u realize people aren’t rushing van for honor? they are doing it for rep?

And if you rush van and lose anyway? You just left all that honor on the table for nothing.

You can easily rush Van and still have a single group of 5 guys hit every single NPC:

There’s literally no cost attached to just killing them on the way to Van.

Not to mention Captain Balinda at least is worth a solid 125 Rep alone, and she’s guaranteed unlike the race against Alliance who have an objective terrain advantage in that regard in the first place.

Eh terrain advantage is not it , its the idiot horde zergsperglords who for fifteen years have failed to understand how to NOT agroo the elites just before the flag in the alliance base.

JUST RIDE IN FRONT OF THE TANK! That alone costs horde 20-30 seconds and costs us any chance at a zerg win outside of being seriously better than the alliance.

here’s the alliance winning
