pff that affects paid stuff, i’m sure it’s on top of Blizzard’s list of stuff to fix ASAP.
Yea well the corruption had to go somewhere when took it off the gear
When did the problem start? Transfer a character two weeks ago with out a problem.
Does this only affect transferred mains or just any transferred character.
It worked for me just a day or two ago.
I think there’s been a degree of oddness that’s been occurring with transferred characters for at least a decade by now… I have friends who lost little bits and pieces here and there in the process of transferring at different points in time. It’s one of the reasons I’ve stuck pretty firmly to not transferring or even getting race changes… no point in risking anything on a 15-year-old account.
Sounds like it’s broken even further right now though.
Hmm I still have my b’aal pet. But I did have to learn pet battling again on the character I transferred
It was initially bugged for Death Knights because
hurrrrrr Death Knights must be level 55 or higher
I think that was patched already though?
It affects things that have account wide progress.
If you transfer a single toon from one server to another, then it will affect ALL toons on your account.
If you don’t care about things that are tracked in this manner, then you won’t care.
For instance, when you do a pet battle dungeon on one toon, then it unlocks a port (from the NPC named Manapoof) that will take you straight to the dungeon. Doing this on one toon unlocks this port for all toons on your account, regardless or faction or server.
Right now, the bug will reset your account progress so NONE of your toons will qualify for the port (the game doesn’t recognize that you’ve completed it)
The strange thing is that you will still have the achievement for the dungeon and any pets that you earned from it.
Another example: if you completed the achievement that raises your pet cap to 1500, you will still have the achievement, but not the reward.
This creates a situation where many cannot learn new pets. They earned the 1500 cap previously, learned over 1000 pets, but now the game thinks you should only have a 1000 pet cap.
I faction changed this toon on the 11th (prior to the pre-patch) and have not noticed any problems at all. I want to faction transfer my Pally too, but this proves to be a dilemma. Now I’m worried what all may be affected by a post pre-patch character service.
I mean you can still buy services, you just don’t have to “activate” them.
I think this happened to Mad season show
Anyone know if this is still a thing?
I realize the post was made 24 hours ago. Any word on if they fixed it or not?
im still bugged.
nice heads up
I have not applied the service that I bought, yet it has affected me. The activation part cannot solely be the trigger. Just a heads up.
I thought ol’ Blizz removed Corruptions. Who knew?
I recently faction changed this character, and I noticed a few things:
- Kua’fon is unable to fly and is stuck as a ground mount only.
- I had to talk to Lillian Voss at the boat to pick up/simultaneously turn in the quest to have access to Siege of Boralus. (Haven’t tried entering the dungeon on Mythic or M+ yet though.)
- I had to visit a Pet Battle trainer to re-learn pet battling, and to unlock the three battle pet slots.
I’m not as established with the pet collecting (I have less than 1k pets and haven’t unlocked all the pet battle-related stuff) so I can’t speak on the teleports and related items. But that’s my experience with a post pre-patch character service.
Well I got the battle pet bug, my account got flagged as if it had never pet battled before but a gm was able to help me out fixing that… Luckily I 100%-ed mechagon a long time ago and none of that progress was reset… I would have been infinite rage mode if I had lost my junkyard title (the GM said they are well aware of the battle pet issue at least)
So did this ever end up getting fixed?? Or still ongoing?
Sitting on about $85 extra Bnet balance I was thinking about spending before the sale ends. But if it’s still not fixed I guess I’ll just wait until the next sale that comes around.
